On Alternate Start type mods

I've now used a couple of these mods - now using Alternate Perspective - and I'm unclear about how I can include the class / birthsign / specialties options that one has in the vanilla game without going through the vanilla start. What are people doing in this regard ?

What are you talking about? Class, birth sign and specialties are not something that one picks in the base game. The base game only has character appearance creation stuck amidst a bunch of scripted scenes (cart ride, beheading, dragon attack, and finally choice between whom to follow into the keep). Class, birth sign and specialties were options in Morrowind and possibly Oblivion but not Skyrim.

Lol. By golly, you're right. Apparently Oblivion was stuck in my head as well as some knowledge about how racial choice affects starting skills. Thanks for clearing that up !
