First, I should say that this is still my first play-through, and I'm still very much in learning-curve-mode. I came to Operation:Anchorage at lvl 24 or so, so it wasn't terribly challenging (at least on Normal difficulty!). I believe I'm using Outcast Power Armor ATM, but I'm thinking that perhaps the Chinese Stealth Armor would be a better choice. Those of you are Sneaker/Sniper players, what armor do you choose? I suggest either Recon armor, Combat Armor, or the Chinese Stealthsuit if you can get ahold of it. Powerarmor is much more suited for those that use heavy weapons, as you'll be making a lot of noise anyway that it won't matter that your footsteps sound like a pair of pans being smashed together. hoax2 Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 I read somewhere that the Recon Armor is the best for Stealth, it has +5 Sneak.I've also read that the weight of your clothing and how much you are carrying will effect your sneak but I can't confirm that. Higher levels of Sneak will make it easier to sneak no matter what you wear, but who wants to wear ugly power armor? laffindude Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 I am mostly a sneak melee/unarmed player. Chinese stealth armor makes the game laughably easy. Trick to using CSA is making the most of sneak criticals. xaechireon Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 The Chinese Stealth Armor is like an unlimited source of Stealth boys, from my experience. The numerical difference between Stealth boys and CSA doesn't really reflect in my actual endeavors to sneak up to someone and explode their pants or shoot them.
