Callighan
I don't know for sure, but perhaps the speed multiplier has an effect.
nosisab
anyone know how I would go about adjusting the run speed for my player character... I turned down the player scale and now they are too slow...probably you got beyond the limit... think this way, if that limit is 10 and you give your character a speed of 11 the game will see him with a speed of 1. Anyway, let the scale as normal and adjust directly the agility status. PS: Just occurred to me you are aware the shift key (or capslock for toggling) will make him run or walk (going to the console and quiting after changing this for mistake toggles that key function, like running being the normal status and the shift key will make him walk)
VerbalEarthworm
this may be of some help: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Movement_Settings all you need to do is work out the correct console command, or failing that, download the Sprint Mod from FO3Nexus. i use that and it's most exhilarating! :)
Tony the Wookie
I havn't changed the speed I changed the Player Scale, to make my player shorter than the default 1.0, they are currently at 0.9 Player scale however effects the speed of the character, so a character at 2 foot tall takes forever to get across the wasteland, but if I set the scale to 10.0 and am 30 feet tall, I can get from Megaton to Tennpenny tower in about 15 seconds so I just need to know where I need to adjust it to up my player speed to make up for the decrease in speed when I changed my size from 1.0 to 0.9 I want to change just my player speed, nothing else where is the speed multiplier? how do I change it? Callighan
Each character has a speed multiplier in the GECK. It's in the stats tab of the character window and it's in percentage. Since you mentioned the speed becomes relative to scale, the thought of speed multiplier came to mind. Edit:http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Stats_Tab_-_NPCAutocalc Stats:Speed Mult %: A Speed actor value is used as a multiplier times a standard movement speed. The Player Character would have a Speed of 100%. Faster characters would have a Speed > 100%, slower characters would have speeds between 0 and 100%. Because the animations only synch up with a speed of 100%, this value should generally not be altered. Don't know for sure if it helps, though. Tony the Wookie
but is there a way to change my player character in the GECK? if not, then how could I use this as a console command
Callighan
This might help:http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Movement_SettingsIf you can pinpoint what's really causing you slowdown or you found a fix, please do share. :) Edit: Looks like we posted only seonds away from each other. I've no precise idea how to change them. Perhaps modav or setav can work? There's an NPC which editor id is "Player" in the GECK. I assume this is the player character. Tony the Wookie
none of those seen to work the player in the GECK doesn't do anything when changed eather... but what causes the slowdown is the scale, the movement covers the amount of ground covered based on the scale of your character, so bigger characters have bigger steps, and two foot tall characters have really small steps... but I want my small character to be faster than normal characters, so I need the "fMoveBaseSpeed" or Speed Multiplier to be set to make them faster
