JJD11
About 10 years ago I packed up my gaming PC when the spare bed room became a nursery The kids are older now and a several weeks ago a unpacked the old PC and played through some old games, Fallout 3, Skyrim and my favorite FNV. I would like to play some of the great looking mods particularly Dust but also New California etc. If my ancient PC will allow it. My Tech knowledge is as painfully out of date as my computer. It seems NMM needs Netframe 4.8.1 which will not run on windows 7. Is there an older version that will allow me to use the mods or am i out of luck Any help appreciated. 0xC0000005
What error are you getting? I no longer have any Windows 7 machines, but looking at the NMM code it appears that installer requires .NET Framework version 4.5.2 and NMM itself requires .NET Framework version 4.6.2.Both of those versions should work in Windows 7. JJD11
I did not know windows 10 was free and I didn't know if it would cause issues on such an old PC Edited October 8, 2023 by JJD11
Guest deleted34304850
try it and find out. win7 is way out of support and if you're using it now, and connected to the internet, that's mega risky.
laclongquan
Nah, I ve been using Win7 for a long time now, particularly for FNV and TTW. Even for F3, 1-2 years back. You dont have to leave W7 unless you be forced. My comp is office computer with some more ram and better gf card. Not a gaming rig if that's what you think.
