DWS
Today I have installed Windows 10 on a new PC if that counts. Other extensions seem to work, but I have just tried one (Graveyard Keeper). Vortex is 1.9.5 It is not possible to set location manually, because "Support for this game is provided through an extension." Means, I cannot install collections for this game. Pickysaurus
Make sure you do all required Windows updates. It could also be your local security software has stripped some of the required files from Vortex or the extension
DWS
Windows is up to date. I can install other games like e.g. Skyrim or Graveyard Keeper. Security Software is Windows Defender only. I had Enderal SE installed previously on my older PC, but maybe it's the newest version of Vortex that does not work anymore? I even have copied the vortex stuff (plugins etc.) under appdata/local and roaming from the old PC, without success. Pickysaurus
As far as I recall, the Enderal SE extension uses the exe-version library built into Vortex. If it's saying it's missing that's often caused by security software interfering. If you look in your games tab and click the little menu on each managed game tile, can you see a version? That library is used in many places to get the version info. I have been able to load this extension in Vortex 1.9.5 without problems.
DWS
Maybe because previous Vortex versions had included the module "exe-version" and the updates would not remove this module. I am going to search for this dangerous module on my old rig.. Yes, I can see versions in the little menu on managed game tiles. €: exe-version (2.2.0) is a 3rd party library with gpl. For some reason it does not work with my new PC.. €€: I have no more ideas about this. Edited October 9, 2023 by DWS
Pickysaurus
It is quite strange, when does this message appear? Unless it blocks the entire extension you should still be able to use it but you won't be able to detect the EXE version of the SkyrimSE.exe used by Enderal. DWS
It works now with the admin account of Win 10 Pro. Either it is the admin account or the browser. Because, with my user account I have Brave browser as the standard browser which is not supported by vortex. With the admin account it's Edge. I also tried (at the user account) to start Vortex with admin rights, but that did not work either. Maybe the admin rights for the main program do not apply to the implemented library programs? Anyway, although I have to use the admin account, I am happy to be able to play my favorite again  €: I think the culprit was a junction link for the user data (appdata/roaming). Vortex seems to have problems with junction (virtual) links under appdata.. Edited October 9, 2023 by DWS
