Blind Moth Priests

Have you ever snuck past a blind moth priest only to wonder if he's just pretending to be blind to lull you into a false sense of security?

It's all a conspiracy to lead you to your death and the Gray Fox is on it. After all, he's the one who sends you to their haunts.

Think about it.

When they hear your footsteps they instantly attack you but if they are blind, they would know NOT to attack any old thing making noise because it could be another moth priest or one of their helpers. The accidental deathmatches would be catastrophic.

This is especially worrying in the Ultimate Heist because aren't they expecting somebody to turn up to the Library?

They somehow KNOW you are sitting down and GIVE you the scroll, but if you enter the room, they attack you. How are you supposed to get to the chair without walking, even if you were the lady they were expecting?

What happens when a guard walks in? Do they kill him too?

And why on earth was that blind guy 'guarding' the library door? He wasn't doing a very good job. He just looked like an idiot in his stupid little white dress.

And why do they have blind people running a library? I know it was supposed to be that they lost their sight after reading the elder scrolls a little too much, but after a while, it would be humane just to send them into early retirement. Their cataloguing system must be completely messed up by now.

And how do they see where the chairs are when they sit down? And OBVIOUSLY that giant fire pit in the middle of the room must be a hazard to blind people...

And how can they hit me accurately when they can't see me? Do I smell THAT bad?

Why don't they ever run into walls or trip over and can walk up and down spiral staircases without a problem.

And why was that blind priest reading a book?

More importantly, why was it a necromany book?

I think I'm getting a little bit paranoid now...

ahhh "grasshopper" the mind is a wonderful thing. When blind all the other senses become heightened to compenaste for the lack of sight. you can differentiate between footsteps and odors. also your sneak capability must be high to get by them.

Like the spider with its many eyes it locates more thru vibration than site. Even the softest of footsteps echos to those that listen.

Go now young one and sit and learn, empty your mind and see with your inner eye and not the eyes of one " truely blind" to the world around them... Master Dezi

I shall do so, Master.

But only on the condition that they stop reading books. I really don't understand how they can do that unless they are intentionally trying to confuse me.

*goes to the summit of the Jerall Mountains to ponder the Master's teachings in peace*

Ahhh, "grasshopper' many things open to those that seek. perhaps those books use raised lettering or symbols of some type enableing them to read that which they cannot see.

Meditate and learn young young for the world is a dangerous place without knowledge.

Nah, don't listen to Dez. It really is a conspiracy. Dez is in on it too! She really just wants to lull you into a false sense of security so that, when you're finally comfortable with the Blind Moth Priests again, one rips off his blindfold, pulls out a katana and shanks you with it while screeching, "I WILL HAVE THE ONE RING!"
