SassiestAssassin
Okay, so I recently got a new computer and set up the latest version of Steam Skyrim SE and Steam Creation Kit. Right now it's just Vanilla files. The meshes technically load fine, I don't have any red exclamation points. If I go to any object then to Model Data -> Edit -> Select NetImmerse Model window, then to my Skyrim install, there are no Meshes or Textures folders. Basically, I can't select textures or change meshes (running through MO2 with the few mods I have installed adds Meshes/Textures from installed mods.) Is there a way I can access the files without unpacking all the Vanilla meshes/textures .bsas or installing modded replacers for everything? IsharaMeradin
Unfortunately, the only way to access the mesh and texture files is by unpacking them or installing a replacer. You can unpack to a folder outside of the game folder and just pull over the individual files that you need to work with.
PeterMartyr
accessing is one thing, manipulating is another ... to edit or manipulate yeah they need to be upack, by adding DLC BSA to kit ini file, it can access anything, the devil is in the detail, no need to unpack it example: binary string files, that cannot be edited accessor and mutator So yeah to use layman terms, the kit can access any thing, if you need to manipulate with photoshop, Nifskope or the creation kit, unpack it.... If ya gonna do game engine, coding stuff, you might as well learn the correct terminology ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
