dizietemblesssma
Scripts attached to baseobjects don't show up in records of an instance of that object in a cell. What is the term to refer to these scripts, is it something like 'inherited'?I've been googducking for a way to use xedit to remove/disable scripts that I know are attached to the baseobject, but not wanting to touch the basobject itself. Although this might not be thing if I don't use the right search term then I definitely won't find it:) I wish to achieve in xedit the following:https://i.imgur.com/VDaSOHg.png diziet
IsharaMeradin
Inherited would be the term. But I have not heard of a way to remove a base object script from a reference object. Usually, the base object is duplicated, the script removed from the duplicate and a new reference instance placed.
dizietemblesssma
Using the CK to remove the script as shown in the screenshot results in this in xedit:https://i.imgur.com/zUeY4dp.pngMaybe I miss described:) I think this is quite common? Is there a way to copy from the baseobject record in xedit the script info and then add it to the reference object record in the cell so that I can then change the flags? diziet
IsharaMeradin
You cannot change the flags on the reference object in xEdit? What happens when you double click on the 'Inherited and Removed' text of the flags entry? I would think that you should be able to double click and change it to 'Inherited' only. dizietemblesssma
The script in the baseobject does not show up in the cell record of the instance of that baseobject, however I have found that just copying the name of the baseobject script and then going to the reference in the cell I can add the scriptname in the VMAD and then the flags show up and can be edited. diziet
