arthurden
Not a success, I would say. Not sure went wrong. I guess I scaled it by accident in Blender. And why can you see all the way through her? If you walk around her the jacket is intact I was following this tutorial here A guide to making new clothing items at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)It's my first time using Blender, Nifskope etc.

aurreth
And why can you see all the way through her? If you walk around her the jacket is intact Because there is no texture on the inside of the jacket. A lot of assets only have textures mapped on one side; from the non textures side they are transparent. So in this case, why put a texture that has to be loaded on the inside of the jacket if that side is never going to be seen?
arthurden
I can't really give you any help but I did think the photo was hilarious :-)And really awesome job - this stuff isn't super easy at the moment. Here's my attempt at trying to create a new asset (apologies for the literal screen capture, don't have the screenshot at the moment): Couple issues:- Rotating is incorrect, I think the right axis but not the correct origin- Mesh is not 100% right, there are bits that when on screen, render massive triangles/2d shapes far beyond the bear (maybe the morph dat stuff?)- No idea how to map a new texture yet, I guess this is on the mesh and not the nif so I think a Blender thing Anyways, just thought I'd share my issues as well to make you feel like you're definitely not alone figuring this stuff out. But fantastic effort with what you've done, wish I could help you out! Wow that's a great creation you got there. Yeah it's been educational to be sure. I see some incredible mods out there and helps me understand just what went into them.
Deleted128150923User
Thanks! That's not fully my creation - the 3d model is from a download somewhere, but creating the .mesh file and everything around it is me though, just very poorly haha. Yeah, a lot of work goes into these mods and substantial time.
