amigodemorte
Hi everyone, I have turned to you all for help before, and hope to get it again. The clothing and texture mods that I would like to use all seem to require file moving within my PC. Not really that knowledgeable about such things. I was hoping for some help, hopefully there's a guide or maybe just a shortcut to cut all that nonsense out. I did not have to go through this with Fallout 4, lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
HeyYou
With fallout 4, we have mod managers, and actual modding tools. Starfield is still 'fresh'. :D And we don't really have any of that. So, manually shuffling files is pretty much the rule of the day. Though, rumor has it, Mod Organizer 2 does a good job of installing mods that are set up for it. Vortex is still kinda hit or miss..... Which mod are you trying to install?
amigodemorte
https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/959; https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1129; https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1203; and https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4091 These are the mods that aren't working, it seem to be only clothing mods that are an issue, the other stuff is working fine. I do, however, use Vortex, which may be my problem. I remember trying to figure Skyrim out being difficult.
HeyYou
Ok, I see the issue. The mods aren't formatted properly for install via vortex.... Copy the Textures folder from the mods, to your Steam\Steamapps\Common\Starfield\Data folder. They should start showing up then.
amigodemorte
The only one that seems to have a textures folder is the blue poncho, so I copied that one. We will see if it works. The Lewd Outfits just has a data folder, wondering gunslinger is just a RAR file(not sure what to do with that), and the dresses one is also just a data file. Can I copy and paste them, or is this unknown territory? Also, thanks for your help.
amigodemorte
I think I figured it out. I can copy and paste the data files as if it were a texture file. That seems to work. Thanks for you help.
