TheMightyGoat51
Ideally the map would stay where it's been set between loads but that doesn't seem feasible. Is there a way to make the map default to local view rather than world view? My reason being that I most often save/load in dungeons and the map defaulting to world view has to be changed to local each load. Not a fan of the automatic switch for interior/exterior cells either as I often use the local map exterior and that means changing the view every time the menu is opened. Anyone know if it can be set to local by default?
Dragon32
Have you tried abot's Smart Map? - https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46634
TheMightyGoat51
No I haven't as it says it's for auto-switching and that functionality is already present.
Dragon32
abot usually sets up their mods with a bunch of configuration options, I thought that maybe the case with that one too. I don't know of anything else that could help.
TheMightyGoat51
Yep sure enough with the two settings "switch to local map when entering interior cells = yes" and "allow map switching when crossing to exterior cells = no" it does what I wanted. It doesn't 'default' to local view but it does stay on local view provided one changes cells occasionally. Thanks for the reminder.
