No way to disable emoticons in mod comments

It'd be nice if we could disable emoticons on mod comments. Or, at the very least, disable the :wink: emoticon from appearing when we type

!)

in a code block in the mod comments section.

 

Hell, it would be nice if emoticons were just plain disabled inside

[code][/code]

tags.

 

 

It might also be nice if backslashes didn't disappear in comments. Currently I have to use HTML ascii codes to make backslashes in comments.

Amen. I'm quite fed up with those damned smilies popping whenever I put "D" words in quotations, like "Daedric."

Problem still existent and it's very dumb and was never useful in any way, just annoying in all ways.

 

Even on a "\D" it only replaces the "D" with a smile, for what reason I don't know. This function should be removed, because it's 100% useless and 100% annoying.

There's an option to turn off emoticons in your post, when you post. It's been available for quite a while, now. You just need to tick the box.

At the CP or at each post at the main site? I will take a deeper look into the CP, normally it should be there, or?

 

Also I noticed, that if I write "Jax" (x=p) which means something like "Yes", will become "Japanese" after posting. ^^
