Utildai
Hello Everyone. I am using the latest version of Starfield (the newest patch), suddenly, after the patch, the game will not launch via Steam, Via Vortex (SFSE), Via the EXE etc. I've disabled all mods, no go. I've also tried just having SFSE, Address Library and Plugins.txt enabled and no go. I've verified all the files via steam and even updated VC++. I have the most recent drivers installed for my video card (Radeon RX 7900 XT). I am getting the following Windows Event every time I try and launch SF (regardless of the method tried above, I get the same error): Faulting application name: Starfield.exe, version: 1.8.86.0, time stamp: 0x65555f1f Faulting module name: Starfield.exe, version: 1.8.86.0, time stamp: 0x65555f1f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000331f503 Faulting process id: 0x0x1A80 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DA1D7E73FF9161 Faulting application path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Starfield.exe Faulting module path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Starfield.exe Report Id: 3e798eb5-2fb0-4fe1-b43c-0ef17604092f Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I've tried researching this and I do get some ''fixes'' for it like running a scan in the command prompt ect, which I've done, to no avail. Just wondering if anyone knows what all of that means? Lol, I'm not new to modding, but I am definitely not a windows tech when it comes to this stuff. I am guessing I may need a full re-install of SF? Any help would be appreciated.
Utildai
I am going to guess it has something to do with this? This is the error I get when I try to do the recommended ''junction'' for the Data folder that Vortex recommends.

Every time the game updates SFSE has to be updated, AND everything that depends on SFSE, including Address Library and Plugins.txt Enabler. Utildai
Thanks for the reply, I did update all three of those prior to updating the game. Did i maybe do it in the wrong order? Update the game first, then update the mods? Either way, I've completely uninstalled everything and am re-installing.
ThirteenGears
Hello friend. This is a pretty good size update so I'm betting most of the mods will be off. I'm waiting out for while, and you should too. Don't be too hasty to update. All best.
i11iya
I don't get it. Utildai, does this error appears even when you launch clean Starfiield (files has been verified, mods/plugins are not installed)?
