When asking for help with Vortex, please include as much detail as possible about the issue you are experiencing. Use the list below as guidance on what you should provide:

  • Which version of Vortex are you using? (e.g. 1.8.0)
  • Which game are you modding and which game store did you purchase it from? (e.g. Skyrim SE from GOG)
  • Which mods are you trying to use?
  • What steps did you take before you encountered the error?
  • What is the specific error message you received? (Provide a screenshot if possible)

Please keep in mind that this forum is for help with the Vortex application only. If you're having problems with mods in-game please consult the mod page or the game forums (found under "Community" -> "Forums" in the main site navigation while browsing mods for that game).

Hey Sorry for not being more clear it was really late, I was installing mods for Cyberpunk 2077 on Vortex and they would all install seemingly fine but when they deployed it would pop up "Skipped because it is not a valid mod! Missing info.json file" . Every mod I download is in the right folder I don't know what goings wrong. I have Cyberpunk on GOG and my vortex is version 1.9.7, Some mods run with no manual adjustment but they are utility mods.
