install loop

i updated to the new Vortex about 3 days ago. im trying to update my mods and intsall a few new ones that work better with Skyrim Special/Anniversary edition, however the mod says in wont install and when i do it just loops for an hour. no notification of failure or anything. i have tried redownloading and still the same. am i doing some wrong or is this normal. this has not happened to me. if i try to stop thew install or cancel i cant i have to physically exit vortex. im not sure if this topic was brought up if so i will go there for any help.

It doesn't look like you installed those mods from Nexus Mods in the first place. Vortex may not be able to find the metadata if you manually drop files into the app. The orange exclamation mark in the "Version" column may be indicative of your issue.
