Casino in the Capital Wasteland

Speaking lorewise, RoD has a school, so that clash pretty bad with a casino. Hell, that clash pretty bad with any cardshark you decide to place there.

Truth be told, best place, logically, is in Paradise Falls, as the biggest hive of scums and villainies around. Problem is, gambler want to gamble, not actually want to be slaves to a bunch of slave catchers.

Tenpenny Tower? The snobs over there would not look kindly on some riffraff gamblers from outside. And once the snobs are massacred, that create something of a bad rep for Roy and his group, as noone want to risk they getting crazy again.

Megaton would be a nice place, but a bit too rough for a casino, and a hardass sheriff. You could put in a few cardsharks, though.

Underworld is too dangerous to attract gamblers.

Rivet City is like a RD institute combo with a factory. Not really a place for a casino, no upper group's support for that.

Big Town and Lamplight is too poor for this posh (and adult) habit. Same is Arefu.

Meresti can do, since a group of bloodsuckers is not that much of a deterrent in a casino. Its only weakness is being too near SM horde, and out of casual travel routes.

Canterbury Commons might be okay, relatively safe, on a trade route, many buildings, not poor snobby or prone to enslave you.

Looking further afield, Point Lookout has their own arcade area, those fortune tellers can be pretty grifty and has some nice big buildings, honestly wish there was some pierside property in new vegas like that but oh well.

Girdershade is a settlement I guess but distant

Canterbury Commons might be possible AFTER the fracas between Antagonizer and Mechanist. nobody like their gambling get distracted by a bunch of animals fighting on the streets.

Just, paying attention to all the mods that edit this area, is all~

In fact, with all those mods, I would advise doing a 2nd floor casino, or a basement (in Roe's house, that firestation). All other houses and ruins would be edit by other mods, ranging from Claim the Capital, to Rebuild Capital, and lots other mods.

---

Point Lookout would need more works, particularly writings. Who would gamble in that country swamp? Swamp folks and smugglers?

There might be space by the mechanist liar, there's at last a large car park outside, might be a less edited area. I like the 2nd floor, basement idea too. some mods like verticality in locations, would love to see more houses have basements.

Sure, smugglers gambling their swamp loot in shady backstreet rooms, i could totally see some violent poker games going on between folks in more of an illegal setting.

Roe's house, or any other townhouse, serve a practical design purpose. A casino generally is a center of that local area, not an outlying part. The robotic repair center is a bit too far from the town to count. Center of the town look really accessible from all directions/roads.

Note: CC has some nice structures like the coffee or the grocery house that people use it, and rarely change, since it sure look nice. 2nd floor or basement of them serve a practical purpose
