Games managed by a different instance

I just booted up vortex for the first time in weeks and all of a sudden it's telling me I have no games managed, despite the fact I've been using it to mod enderal, new vegas, and oblivion for years with no issues and currently have them all installed. So, for example, when I tell it to manage New Vegas again, it tells me: "this game was modded by another instance of vortex" along with a paragraph of information that is just comically useless and the request to purge all my mods before continuing. Please someone tell me: what the f*#@ just happened and do I have to reinstall 200 mods? I am using the most recent version of vortex.

This implies that you (or something on your system) deleted or moved the Vortex data under %appdata%\Vortex - this is Vortex's "brain" and when removed it will forget everything you've input. This cannot possibly happen by using the application alone.
