nifft9
I'm using the latest version of Vortex 1.9.12 on Windows 11 Pro. I am modding Skyrim SE (Anniversary Edition) 1.6.1170. I installed "Mythical Ages - weathers and lighting overhaul" through Vortex. I observed the three files from the package inserted into the game's ...\Data directory. The mod seemed to work well, game ran fine. I decided to try a different mod, so I disabled "Mythical Ages..." mod in Vortex. I observed that the three files in the package were removed from the ...\Data directory. However, when I started Skyrim (from the script extender), the game told me that the Mythical Ages esp was missing and asked if I wanted to continue loading. When continued the game crashed. After this I re-enabled "Mythical Ages" and again the game worked fine. Any help with how to proceed with disabling this mod is appreciated. Pickysaurus
If you've saved the game with any plugins loaded they get baked into the save. You should revert to a save before you added it. This isn't related to Vortex.
scorrp10
When you save a game, the save file comtains stuff from all plugins you had installed at the time, potentially even instances of some of their scripts running. Things you could do.... Continue playing with Mythical Ages Return to a save game before you installed that mod If mod has an MCM, maybe it has options to disable mod's features, so it can get safely removed. You could also try loading a save into Resaver (Fallrim tools) and clean out any forms/instances belonging to a given mod, save it as a different file and see if you can disable the mod and load the cleaned save.
