NightCityNomad
Hey chooms, I got a problem with weird shadows appearing on NPCs. Take a look at this short video to see what I mean: https://youtu.be/8M0dCZlKlMY This does not occur on an unmodified vanilla game. Problem is: I got 500+ mods installed. So before tediously combing through them I thought I'd ask if there are mods which are known for causing this weird shadow-behavior? My current installed mods: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tq2ZbSKRXQcxcqBtR6HKDL3vTapzIaLq6Ym45Od_5Yo/edit?usp=sharing Any help would be very much appreciated cause if I can avoid hours of bugfixing I'd like to do that! :-)
Dragon32
I'm afraid I don't know which mod is causing the problem but a technique I've used in the past, for many games I've applied mods to, is the binary search. It makes finding problematic mods much quicker than going one-by-one. This link is for Morrowind, but I've used the principle with many modded games. https://www.mwmythicmods.com/argent/tech/bin_srch.html
NightCityNomad
Yeah, thanks for the tip. I use a similar method from here: https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyberpunk-2077-modding/for-mod-users/user-guide-troubleshooting It also methodically combs through directories by deactivating certain mod-folders but still can take up a lot of time. but anyway I‘ll try that out and we‘ll see. NightCityNomad
So, for everyone interested and having the same problem, the mod responsible was NVFLODS. The bug is known and apparently happens only with Pathtracing. Uninstalling the mod made me happy! :-)))
