Nice setup. ^^ Though Raidmax Scorpio 420w? Are you sure that's enough wattage for your system? (I assume you're referring to your PSU there).

thats actually the name of the case. the 420 is also the wattage rating of the PSU. i believe this is just coincidence that the name is that because raidmax stocks alotta their cases with the same 420w power supply. i know cause my friends, which had a different case, had the same PSU in it. (the PSU came with the case)

surpringly it is enough to power it all. only problem with power i have is not havin enough rails. (really, almost no PSU comes with enough)

the power supply is only enough cause the x1600 doesn't need its own connector, and doesn't drain that much. 65nm drains less then a 90nm CPU as well, so that helps. only running 1 optical drive too, no floppy anymore. if i ever get a new video card though, i am gonna need to get a new PSU.

p.s. ordering SATA dvd burner, considering cold cathode tubes, and possibly removing the water cooling off the CPU and replacing it with a northbridge waterblock, cause i think the video card being in the same loop is actually raising the CPU temperature.

2 3.0Gz Intel Processors

No idea what motherboard

1Gb RAM

ATI Radeon x600

160Gb HDD

DVD-ROM drive

CD_RW drive

Floppy drive

various flash drives

17 inch DELL monitor

Windows XP Home SP2 and Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft (A distribution of linux)

Headphones (with mic)

Windows says my sound card is a Sigmatel Audio, Linux says HDA Intel

Right now I have to run Oblivion and stuff under Linux using WINE (a windows emulator), because I was stupid enough to accidentally delete Windows from my HD, and my recovery disc is unbootable >:(

No, it was a DELL computer, so it didn't come with one. The idea was you could make one using special software on the computer. It worked fine, except it couldn't copy the .iso file that would make it bootable.

Of course, being Windows, it didn't bother to tell me that. It just wrote it to some tiny log file somewhere on the cd.

i specifically built my computer system to be a complete integrated entertainment system.

if you have to know the specs:

e6300 1.86ghz oc'ed to 2.6ghz

asus p5b deluxe wifi (non-sli, but i don't care for it, atleast i get 3 pci slots)

2 x raid 1 (4 hdd's)

8800gtx (i shouldnt have bought this, its overkill, if i bought the 8800gts i save $300, thats 50 bags of beef jerky.)

2x1gb patriot 6400 5-5-4-9

msi turbostream 600watt sli psu (one of the best deal i've got, $70, an enermax cost twice as much)

zalman fans controller = priceless, but doesnt have enough resistance to make the fans quieter, its still noisy. computer has 9 fans total, counting the mobo, gfx and psu.

I don't really like to complain or rant, but isnt that a kinda wrong placement? Shouldnt they be at the back, since you would get the full effect then if you play on your computer and laying on the couch (I assume there is a couch).
