America Rising 2 Legacy of the Enclave

It is a fine mod, I usually start it when I am about level 20, of course, if you want the full effect, you start it the moment you have rescued  Garvey and such and have unlocked Sanctuary as a Settlement.

What I noticed from the first run I did after securing the Enclave Oil Rig I had to go to the War Room and was asked if I wanted to join the Enclave, I said no and I was knocked out and ended up back at the Vertibird refuelling plant and the Enclave were hostile towards me, so if you want to do the more benevolent missions do them up to the point on the Oil Rig where the General asks if you will join the Enclave, when you get to this point you have to decide.

I tried it again on my 2nd Run and joined the Enclave, I got to the point where it started to wander into the dark and evil side of the Enclave, just wanted to see where it would go, as I cannot play evil characters comfortably I could not get into working with the Enclave, ironically Fallout 4 had one of its brain F**ts and I had to delete all my games and start from scratch.

But if you want to play evil and morally corrupt then by all means start this quest line after you get Sanctuary as a Settlement, if not do it after you destroy the institute, turn the General down on the Oil rig and gain more enemies to shoot on your travels. either way, it is a good mod even though I have never completed it to the end.

Just thought I would put what I found out there

----------------------------------------

I can never seem to complete the BoS questline after Blind Betrayal as I tend to blow up the institute before the Mass Fusion search for the Big Robots power source LOL.  I follow the MM quest line every time

America Rising 1 was mostly about a smarter Enclave less evil more grey not too different from the FO4 Brotherhood really.

Which makes sense hierarchical organizations are as good or evil as their current leadership, so the Enclave should neverbe "evil" in perpetuity.

I never finished AR2 it and when it got evil I deserted (after the ship mission) and started a new playthrough

I feel some things were left on the table and possibilities were left unexplored by "eviling" the Enclave back up form AR1.

There are also two more mods , one I finished and one I did not. in which the Enclave is not particularly evil, except perhaps for one or two individuals.

Enclave resurgent (Which I finished, Enclave allies with the minutemen to both sides benefit, Enclave submarine troops get dervred R&R at the Castle)

Also Enclave new Story, deserves all the attention that AR2 got,  and should have 10 times the downloads it has.

I confgess I did not finish I played an early version which was a bit buggy but it was clear it was going in the right direction in a plausible manner. I will reengage it for sure.

I'm not sure i could get on board with the Enclave regardless of their specific alignment because fundamentally they are carrying forward the pre-war agenda of the very group responsible for the world burning and just seek to rule over the ashes. In AR2 this is exemplified with the awakening of some war hawks that from their point of view the bombs just fell yesterday and so are itching for retribution without any experience in the world they created. So it makes sense that this group are more evil than others that have descended into it through hundreds of years in the wasteland.

I have AR2 installed just so i can destroy them and take their stuff.

Organizations don't stray to far from their center regardless of who is in charge.

There was  a very large difference between the dystopian horror that was the Soviet Union in 1930 and the Soviet Union in 1985 to list just one example (not that I am trying to defend them in any way)

It is a fact. In 1981-1985, the USSR ranked first in the world in social security of the population. Medicine, utilities, organization of leisure and work for citizens, housing... Those who witnessed those years are still nostalgic. As an example... In 1984, a tourist tour by boat from Moscow to Astarakhan for a child cost 36 rubles (~$40). Including meals, tourist trips in all cities along the route, and leisure activities for children. Now a tour on the same ship along the same route costs ~200k rubles (~$2200), excluding age. Contrary to propaganda, life in the USSR until the mid-80s was much better than in the West. But ~ since 1986 there has been a collapse. The real dystopia was ~ from 88 to 99. There was total anarchy and banditry.

As I made an Enemy of the Enclave I was at the Castle when I spoke to a Character named Drew there he gave me a quest to go to the Vertibird Refuelling Facility, where we will infiltrate the building put on Enclave Uniforms and head out to the Oil Rig, where he plans to plant a bomb to destroy the platform SPOILER ALERT!

Another way to get FREE Caps

When you get to the level where you have to get Coolant for Proctor Ingram (BoS)

If on PC then use the Console Command

player.additem <Reactor Coolant ID> 10000

You will get 10K Caps from the Proctor when you turn them in 😉
