Go to the links which JimboUK gave you and run the patches which are linked. This will downgrade your Fallout3.exe from 1.7.0.4 to 1.7.0.3.

I did ask in my post if you had installed and run the Unofficial Fallout3 Patch which would fix your problem.

JimboUK,

I did as you said but game won't start. I get the same message. After that I tried different installation order just in case and still nothing. Is maybe problem because it's Game of the year edition?

Firstly, is the NVAC.dll from the anti-crash in Data\fose\plugins? if you just install it just by extracting to the data folder it's going to be in Data\nvse\plugins where's it's not going to work, I should have clarified that.

If the patcher isn't working try installing "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022" and "Visual Studio 2013 (VC++ 12.0)" from here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-160

Hello,

still not working. I installed nvac file via Vortex for FO3 and didn't notice that it is automaticaly installed in New Vegas game. I don't know why. I tried all that without the vortex and still won't budge. About visual studio, already have that installed. Thank you for your time.

I'm getting to the point of just letting go 😆

I honestly have no idea where to go from here, I have the old DVD of FO3 and thus have no experience of the patcher, I know the game works on Windows 10, I play it on there quite often.
