BerSerKer150 Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Hey there, been logged out of Vortex due to a certificate expiry. Upon attempting to log back in I am asked for an API key and to click on the link required for it. Problem is, the API key for Vortex itself and even a listing for it does not exist within my account settings. As such, I can't log back in and have zero idea on where to go from here. If anyone could help me out or provide some insight into what's going on, that'd be great. Thanks 1
Erekereketembong Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 same. following this thread for a possible solution.
Community Manager Solution Pickysaurus Posted April 22, 2024 Community Manager Solution Posted April 22, 2024 Vortex doesn't use API keys anymore, you probably have a super out-of-date version of Vortex, try downloading the latest version and install it over what you have. 2
Erekereketembong Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 you're right. downloading the latest version of vortex fixed the issue. thank you!
Keltrick Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 I'm on windows eight, and can't update Vortex any longer. It worked up till today. I tried a fresh install of New Vegas and all of a sudden I'm not signed in. Guess there isn't a fix?

Thank you so much. Surprised it's taken this long to kick me out.

I had forgotten about this caveat so the Vortex API key has been restored. It's really a good idea to look at updating to at least Windows 10 as soon as you can though!
