Material Swaps Broken After Update

Hi,

I'm having problems with getting material swaps to work in my worldspace after the recent update. They appear as they should in the Creation Kit, but do not work in-game. Importantly, this does not just affect custom material swaps, it affects material swaps included in the base game and DLCs as well, such as for billboards or walls. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this?

Things I have tried:

  • Saving the plugin in the new version of the Creation Kit
  • Creating a new material swap to replace the existing one
  • Creating a completely new plugin and creating new material swaps in that
  • Hotloading the plugin while in the worldspace

If you have any ideas on how to fix this, please share them! Thank you!

I'm also having the same problem. The only other thing I've tried that you haven't is loading the plug in a completely clean save.

 

I have a material swap on a jumpsuit and a robot decal which have survived unscathed. What hasn't survived is a flag, a change on the red shack door and the change to the Wilson sign.

 

Edit: I've noticed BAE also isn't working now. Unsure if that's related.

Some other people have also reported that material swaps on references no longer work since the next gen update. If this is true then I hope Bethesda notices and patches it...

Can confirm... working on my mod and I noticed the Steel beams I swapped to red were the default, then it was worse as I looked back on my older work.  As a PS4 modder I'm quite disheartened here as this is basically the only leeway we have for any sort of cosmetic changing.
