On a serious note though I am once again awed by the amount of work you are doing on this thing, and am very glad to have seen this plugin go from its original 4 paragraph incarnation to what it is becoming now.p.s. My mind goes strange places when I'm only half awake. Edit: You mentioned the amount of detail, the reason for that is the fact that these are doubling as notes for myself. Hopefully it won't take long. :P Probability is with in the next two or three days (provided that I haven't pissed Dark0ne or Buddah off enough to get banned). All that is left is to place the Vivec City prostitutes and run a few tests. I've noticed that some interactions tend to appear more than others, and I'm not really sure how to fix the bug of being able to copulate with the prostitute even if you don't have money. Got a possible solution to that one, add a new line of dialogue along the lines of "no cash no service" to the topic and set item->gold_001<x(where x is the girls fee) as a condition for it, then add item->gold_001>x as a condition for the existing lets screw response. As a test I modified your nobles plugin so that if you have less then 5000gold the noble says "you can use the money, can you please me enough to earn it" instead of your existing "can you please me" line and everything else is identical to whats already there, and your original line displayed fine if you had more then 5000gp. While on the subject of setting "not-allowed" conditions, any plans to add restriction of prostitution as a result of the pc being sick? Edit: forgot to mention but leaving the original dialogue line without the greater then condition resulted in the new line never showing up-apparently morrowind prioritizes dialogue on the basis of how many conditions the line has Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zeldalover Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Morrowind handles dialogue from the top down, and with greetings it starts at the first greeting in the "greeting 0" list, then if it fills the contitions for the first one, all the ones below that are ignored. If none of the "greeting 0" conditions are met it goes to "greeting 1" and repeats the progress. To make an NPC stand still, near the "dialogue" button is an "AI" button, delete the "AIwander" in there, save the AI options, save the NPC, open the NPC and the AI menu back up, add a new "AIwander" and set all the values to zero. In my opinion though, I think the actual prostitutes should wander, but the trainers and shopkeepers shouldn't, because if the prostitutes are wandering then more people will notice them, and thus use their "services". To see if somebody's dead, there's an example in vannilla morrowind, in the "my family" topic. I think. That one vampire quest with the vampire hunter. I hope I helped, even just a little bit. :) EDIT: To clarify on the dialogue: If the first thing at the top of "greeting 0" has no conditions, every NPC will say that every time you talk to them, because the things below are ignored, because the conditions are automatically considered to be met, even though there are no conditions. So never make a greeting with no conditions, even just make it NPC or faction specific, otherwise EVERYBODY will use that greeting. (If it's at the top of "greeting 0" that is.) Rattfink333 Posted July 16, 2009 Share Posted July 16, 2009 i'd say you should make a couple of cathouses. one in suran and one in balmora. and have the ladies work up to the rank of madame. and base the orc gals out of gnisis and khuul. the orc presence is greater in the northwest. maybe with a orc housebarge cathouse outside gnisis to give the imperials an excuse to look the other way. All the topics are at the bottom of the "greeting 0" list, so only if the npc didn't have another greeting from above and then only 25% of the time (a condition) would the prostitution greeting appear. ComVlad; Once again you provide the solution to a problem, if I could give you more kudos I would do so.Edit: I've looked at the dialogue options for item, gold etc. I think I'm going to wait with that for now (enjoy the free sex people), simply because I've got all the dialogue done, and I'd prefer to run it via script rather than add extra conditions to the dialogue. Maybe dialogue is the best way to go, as my plan is to have one of the "rewards" for females joining the faction being free sex from other faction members. Edit: As to the wander pack, I'm trying that out with Aranil first. (Oh, a name, I gave away a name...wonder who that might be? :ninja: ) Zeldalover; That does help...but I'm not sure with what yet. I found an Arkiviri Modders Resource for Morrowind that comes with a large castle-like building. My plan is to create a new world space (just an Island in the southern waters) and run a boat service to the island. (Passage won't be cheat btw.) That will be the basis for the faction and possibly the quests (if I go so far as to try and make quests, which like worldspaces is something I've never done). My current plan is lots of nude females, lots of pictures of nude females. (I've got some banner resources that are Adult in nature, mostly ninja toons and such. {I might make a banner less version if people request it, I understand that not everyone likes the same things.}) Probably a prison of some sort (BDSM play) lots of bed rooms, not really sure on the details yet, as I haven't looked in the resource and I need to see what all I've got. As for the orcs, as I've only got about four or five faces (I don't remember the number in the head pack) I'll be doing them as an add-on, but as you say mostly in the north-west.Edit: BTW, love your signature. **Reminder** The orcs will only work for Orc PLAYERS. It is also NOT recomended that you run any of the add-ons except the Nobles add-on with the new version of SPS. As a general reminder: Some of the themes that are comming in future add-ons might be not what some people are used to. While I do not hold with the "culture" (and I use that word VERY loosly) the japanese (no offense, just being specific) are exporting to America (mostly in the form of cartoons and magna or whatever the heck it is called), some of their, shall we say, perversions, have uses in mods like SPS. It isn't really where I wanted her, but with space being so limited if I put her anywhere else there are either guards wandering into her, she'll get in other NPCs way, or get attacked by rats. I thought of sticking her in the Canalworks, but it really isn't workable. I figure the fighters can come up and see her between fights if they want her. Hlaalu and the Foreign Quarter have a mix of races, Redoran (2) and Telvanni (1) have only Dunmer. St. Delyn and St. Olms also have Dunmer. I've made a few changes to other items and npcs. Not in terms of scripts or anything like that, but mostly on placement. I made a change of a bed from being owned to not owned in one of the manors (Saren manor, Redoran) near the manor prostitute but that is the extent of the changes. Full details on locations below. With regard to the quests and faction, don't forget that MEN (players of the Male veriety) will NOT be able to join or take the quests. This is just a little reminder that this mod is first and foremost for people playing Female characters. The whole idea behind the prostitutes was that people who wanted to play a male should have the option to get action from somewhere, and that it was not realistic that the player would be the only female willing to sell her body in all of Vvanderfel. Again, that doesn't mean that female players can't visit the prostitutes, it simply means that (as I've said before) I will not write dialogue allowing male players to prostitute themselves. Call me sexist, call me a homophobe, I don't much care; this is not hard to do (other than trying to think up new sex sceens, I really understand now why the porn industry is so limited on new stuff, there is only so much you can do with three holes and a %&$!). On the subject of modding knowledge and please just ignore this if you are already familiar with it, I recently found Morrowind Mod Maker's Manual on PES. It contains no tutorials but the author went through and explained every function,setting and possible variable in the construction set, really great piece of reference material and its got links to a whole lot of other morrowind mod sites in the appendix. You need word for it but I believe somebody posted a link to a pdf file in the comments section on PES.
