kelticpete
So I have Fallout 3 and added FOSE and used two updaters one ESm patcher and anniversary patcher. was running multiple mods no issues. Suddenly around Arefu game is crashing just when walking around. Bethesda games tend to crash for me when travelling fast or saving. A) I have autosave turned off. B) the wierd this is after each crash.. I have to reset my Sneak key to C and turn off autosave again. I know these questions get asked ALOT. and I'll take any "Go read this, idiot" links.. thanks to anyone who took the time to read this. *Big Bummer -- I am waiting on hearing back IRL if I got into a program to become therapist, and iwaiting on test results to see if my health problem is no big deal or BIG SCARY DEAL. and I've had trouble finding a distraction. F03 was working to distract me after Fallout Series. sad emoji
M48A5
I had a problem with the game freezing and crashing when I tried to walk to Arefu with Arefu Expanded installed. I found that the only way around it was to fast travel to Arefu.
Pagafyr
You have two AreFu mods. The ESM I can see is an ESM. If the other is an ESP it should be underneath your ESM. The other ESP mods may cause conflicts because they too may make changes in the landmass. In some instances the ESM and the ESP should be together Top ESM ESP directly under it. Otherwise the other ESPs might be the cause of the crash because they load landmass or building nearby and can cause the Crash when they conflict in the load order. You might want to move the AreFu ESP above the Meresti Metro Station Entrance. If the Meresti Metro Station Entrance is the one I think it is, it is part of the AreFu quest to get back the little brother for his sister in Megaton. Mods are arranged so they go in groups, groups with the type of modular purpose they have. Last time I was studying the situation, there were three sections for the Fallout 3 load order. Top for mods like Arefu quest, building changes, and land. Middle for companions. Bottom for mods for better scenery lighting to really give you a great view on the monitors picture. If the Arefu mod ESP changes land and has quest material it may be best set under its ESM of the group at the top.
kelticpete
thanks to both ya'll. Fingers Crossed it is just Arefu Exampanded mod being wonky. I moved the arefu radio esp under and next to esp. i think the esp is just a radio station. put meresti is now under both arefu mods. not many crashes outside of the arefu area... it was every 2 minutes around arefu I did the whole main quest from megaton to rivet city no crashes.
