FYI Can Have Too Many Mods

Over the last few weeks I've been gradually adding mods which seemed interesting in CP77. Many I didn't even use, but I left them installed as they seemed safe and stable and didn't harm anything. A day or two ago, as I neared 400 installed mods, I gradually started having problems launching the game, even though every mod I had installed worked.

Eventually I thought to actually check the crash logs, and I discovered CP77 wasn't actually crashing. Rather, it was shutting down because the game was not completing its initial launch within 120 seconds.

So I picked a couple of dozen mods I felt I could live without, and everything went back to launching and working fine.

If you find that the game is shutting down during launch, and if you're sure there are no compatibility issues or missing dependencies, you may be in a situation like I was where I simply had too many mods.

CP77 has a cap not in the number of mods but in how long it will wait to complete its launch.

Good info Karna. I personally don't use too many mods with this game since I haven't seen what I really wanted and the game is pretty damn good without them tbh.
