Maharg67
[2.1][9] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers The 3Dwallscreen showed a vast machine rumbling across the oozing, pale brown, clay like landscape as a megarobot digging up substance as it passed over it, the 'clayz' as it was generally known. Processed clayz went to the hidden realms of the living gods. It was said that the godzfolk could convert the amazing material into many fine products, not all of them understandable by mere mortals. Mortal folk knew that it was highly toxic to them unless they had the right technologies protecting them. A second megarobot harvester was moving parallel to it and, beyond that, a third. Sharry frowned. "Powerful entities have been attacking the harvesters, hence the superrobots guarding them." The superrobots flew through the air as an almost elegant, chunky, saucers. The thought of anything attacking the mechanisms of the godzfolk was 'crazy'. Chance was that the godzfolk would have already sent investigators or was that true? Shenny nodded. "Nuclear dinosaurs each with three necks, three heads, six legs and a great tail ending in three, smaller, tails. The megarobots, and their superrobot escorts, have so far driven them off with one megarobot needing to pause in its work to have repairs carried out by a service-support megarobot and its superrobot assistants. The 'nuclear dinosaurs' are known as godsaurusi as plural and godsaurus in a singular sense." Gavag spoke. "The godsaurusi could be fleeing from a menace even more powerful than they. They may never have encountered robots before, at least not ones so massive; if they are territorial creatures they would have been forced out of their own and would be agitated because of it." In the fair distance a big, but not huge, godsaurus broke upwards out of the ground. It paused and seemed to be looking at the robots with much expectation. There was a blasting effect and a great parcel was hurled through the air from a harvester. It landed and broke open to expose great, colour coded, lumps of food along with what looked to be waterjelly. The creature slowly, steadily, consumed the repast, including the parcel wrapping material, before it slipped away again. Shimmy: "You were most likely correct, Gavag, but it appears some kind of arrangement has been made and an alliance formed to deal with a greater threat." Shotty: "Our new, mysterious, benefactor sent this 3D audio visual data along with some other items but this was easily the most amazing." Shully: "Very much so but also alarming!" Maharg67
[2.2][10] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers Compubabies whirled through the air, in tribubblecraft, but only one was prime of the 40 and it was impossible to tell which one was that or at least it was like that for most. As previously stated, one was prime but there were also three secondaries along with nine basers. There were also 27 helper-guards. It was all a matter of multiplications of three starting from one as in 1x3=3, 3x3=9 and 9x3 = 27. Could the process go beyond 27? Yes it could! Compubabies were getting overtired and grumpy. Flying mummybots were supported by smaller, but more numerous, nannybots but it was the SQuins and Stanley the pengorilla who seemed central to the successful taking in, and down, the cute, adorable, cyborgs in their all aerosubmersable service-support, protective, transports. The SMix ended up helping, along with the other Seekaplayers. K9herois' tail was fascinating to at least one Compubaby at any one time as was that of Stanley. Even the Shz5 made the small, flying, ones feel welcome. The main 13 Compubabies slept-recharged along with 18 of the helper-guards, the other nine keeping alert for trouble; well, at least for a short while until convinced otherwise and then they were also sleeping-recharging. In the big commonroom, of what was now called the Seekateam, the Compubabies had suddenly come out of mid air but there was a subtle sense that there was something more there with them that was also 'very very young' but, in this case, also extremely ancient. MrCarryon, the hovermecha, had recently discovered that it had a transmultidimensional storage system of amazing, though far from endless, capacity. MrCarryon spoke. "Something is inside one of my three, secondary, TMDSBs (Transmultidimensional Storage Bays)! For now Shesheshe is sleeping, feeding, healing, dreaming and much else. She is strongly linked with the cyborg Compubabies. The Seekateam now has 10 Gamepoints and the Gaiaseekers have one Questpoint but I do not know what that means." Shotty responded. "We SQuins are in the same position as you are; hopefully more information will be coming soon." A group of 7,000+ refugees had just recently arrived including a few needing special assistance; they did bring with them a good deal of resources. Maharg67
[2.3][11] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers The holographic map projection table showed the region known as the subcontinent of Desolatoria of the supercontinent of Centralia. A Great Barrier Wall cut off Centralia proper from the great subcontinent. Clayz covered about a fifth of Desolatoria. GaiaArkdom0314 was closest to the surface of the five GaiaArkdoms in Desolatoria but was also the smallest of them. There was still at least three kilometres, of hard ground, between GA0314 and the surface above it. The HMPT showed a pattern of red, more amber, yet more orange and then yellow 3Dflags floating in the air above given spots. Where the red 3Dflags were most numerous, and clustered together, was also a 3Dsymbol of a multiple tentacled creature as designated as the GreatDevourer as an aspect of the GreatEnemy. There was a fortified citystate closest to the tentacled one known as GraffaTrillia with the citystate territories being known as GraffaTrilliadom. The Gaiaregainers had sent, to their, a large delivery of vital resources and had promised to take in more refugees; both had been done at the behest of their mysterious game patrons-benefactors who had serve-supported both. Yet it was not the only location that refugees had come from, to GA0314, and the nearest were the crater centered Cratertowns; they were Craterville, Craterburg, Craterfaith, Craterhigh, Craterfort and Craterpolis with the last being easily the biggest. Sharry indicated the Cratertowns with her laser pointer. "A questling has been activated though not by any of us. Our Testing Quest is to send a Gaiaseeker team to the Cratertowns and to discover more about the nature of the problems taking place there. Starting resources will be made available as in our Questling has been activated to do so. Firstly, before that, Gamelings will be activated to send us through a series of new type HOCT Mazes, HOCT being pronounced as a word; it means hazardous obstacles, challenges and threats." Shenny: "Batmanbot will cease to be a Seekaplayer, along with See3pio and MrCarryon, the three of whom will be with the Compubabies at all times as Seekaservers; yes, there now the group known as the Seekaservers as one aspect of the Seekateam of Seekateamers. Others may make the switch over in future." It was well known that Batmanbot doted on See3pio who had an oddly childlike personality though not even the SQuins knew how that came to be. Batmanbot would be pleased to also tend to MrCarryon's needs as well. Shimmy: "We have activated the 4SVR Scenario the Museum of Questing Clues that has its lobby and first display chamber along with secondary facilities." Shotty: "The new Hall of Vending is now available to any interested in going there." Shully: "The same is true for the Arcade of Gaming." Maharg67
[2.4][12] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers Freetown was the name of the new refugee settlement bustling with life of artisans making items, shops trading them, services being offered and then Shotty was turning to head into the Order Compassionate Outpost. Followers Compassionate bustled around helping people as did as were a few, local, volunteers. Followers Protective stood in body armour suits close to entrances, to where money was kept and to a row of open resources cupboards. Junglejane, now in far more modest gear, followed her along with Rattanboy, a not very 'girlie' looking Robogirlie and Gunclawdus; for some reason most people got out of the way of the tiger. They were not wearing their Gaiaregainer gear but instead what was considered every day gear by local folk. Following them were five, standard, carryrobots stuffed with equipment but far more so with supplies. Mother Compassionate Elisa Torrent scratched Gunclawdus behind an ear, much to the feline's delight. "Shotty, of the SQuins, your last donations were most welcome but more is always so." Shotty smiled. "One shot medipens, serum soaked bandages, food rations, pristine water, flexirope, inflatotents, coffee powder, waterproof blankets, electric lamptorches, books, sheets of art paper, small blackboards, chalk, pencils, erasers, inflatocushions, toys, 3DAVDs (3D audiovideo disks), women's special items, chocolate drink powder, soymeat powder, flour, a portable hot beverage maker, a portable holographic projector, spare robotic parts, and a few other items of a useful nature. You can have the four carryrobots. With them are maintenance, repairs and spares kits." She changed subjects. "The new Ordershood Compound has been completed, at least its first working stage has been; there are dormitories, a gymnasium, an orphanage area, a medical area, swimming pools, a library-gallery, a cinema-theatre, stables, kennels, barns, a barracks and more; that is for your Orders Compassionate, Protective and Supportive." Elisa passed over a thick envelope with a big smile. "Again, we are grateful for everything that you have done for us! Here are those old newspaper clippings that you asked for from the Cratertowns. I would invite you to have tea with me but I am afraid that I am very busy." Shotty smiled right back and soon she departed, along with the others, to go to the Brass Diner; it was already a favourite eating establishment in Freetown. Maharg67
[2.5][13] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers While the new Seekaservers expanded as a facet, of the Seekateam, there arose a new branch known as the Seekacarers; Batmanbot, See3pio and MrCarryon became Seekacarers as linked to the Compubabies, the SMix and more than those. Stanley, the pengorilla, became a Seekacarer as it was evident that the Compubabies, the younger SMix and a few more adored him. So far the newcomers had not attempted to explain themselves but spent most of the time sleeping. The Ordershood Freepost, as it quickly became known, was large enough to easily accommodate their needs even if only phase one was completed. Small accomstacks, accommodation stacks, were completed on the outskirts of Freetown along with other stacks focused to meet other needs be that such as industrial, commercial, entertainment, sporting, fitness-health, medical, educational and agricultural. Trouble began on a very small scale inside the new Freezone! It, and Freetown, was sealed off from the rest of GA0314 by becoming one of its rimward subsections. This was done for quarantine-security reasons as the number, of newcomers, in a smaller quarantine security subzone continued to grow. GaiaArkfolk moved in with the Freetowners, a GaiaArkguard Garrison was formed, GaiaArkpolice set up a police service, there was the Freetown Authority and the limited democracy of the Freetown Citizens Council. The new Freetown Chronicle published its first edition being of excellent quality that even sported a single 3Dphoto on its front cover. The problem was the headline on the front page that read; HOW FREE IS FREETOWN? The article went on to compare the local democracy, of the Cratertowns, with the lack of it in Freetown and the newly proclaimed Freezone. Yet it also spoke of the corrupt politics of the Craterzone, that consisted of much more than the Cratertowns, in an attempt to present a more balanced view. There were also the vanishings, hauntings, troubles with crazy cultists, sightings of strange creatures and much else of the same to deal with. Maharg67
[2.6][14] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers The 'clippings' given to the SQuins, by the Ordershood, were not clippings at all. Sharry presented a thin, strong, bioplastic page by placing it on the ringtable in front of her. "Published in the Secret Eye Journal, Volume 123 #21. Speaks of sightings of not one version, of the Great Devourer, but two of them. The small, but still massive, one glowed yellow-white and the bigger one was much fleshier, was of disturbing regenerative that seemed to be, if anything, antinatural. The 3Dphotographs are washed out, somewhat, with the sharply bright light from the smaller entity. Despite size difference, it was the bigger that was being driven back as its tentacles were burned, causing it to scream out in agony, hatred and rage; or at least that is how the alien noises were interpreted as closely as possible. There was a flash of yellow white energies and the smaller entity was gone along with the bigger one. You might consider that would be the end of the Great Devourer except that, in the distance, were two more; they were of the constantly rotting-regenerating type of a highly disturbing quality. The article indicates that none of the Great Devourers were indeed the 'core one' being glimpsed at times, by witnesses, as being far more massive than any of its lesser aspects. As for the yellow white glowing one, it was called the Antidevourer." Shenny nodded and pushed forward her own sheet. "Published in the Secret Eye Journal, Volume 139 #18. Skyships, in service to the living godsfolk, once flew across the area in big convoys of massive flying vessels. That was before Doomsday! It is said that a loose cluster of permanently fallen skyships, as half buried in foodz landscape, now form the basis of an advanced but exclusive society; little is known about them except that the Great Devourer does not go anywhere near the 'Peoples of the Fallen Skyships'." Shimmy pushed her contribution forward. "Published in the Secret Eye Journal, Volume 201 #99. A Predoomsday Teknaplex (Teknacorp Complex) is said to exist not far, though nobody seems to know what that means, from the Craterzone. Teknaplex11011 is made up of the complex proper, Teknavault11011, Teknahabitat11011, Teknafort11011 and three others unidentified but there could easily be more. Teknacorp was a noted enemy of the Gaiaregain Order back before Doomsday but Teknacorp had many enemies and for good reason; it was predatory, cunning, untrustworthy and corrupting along with extremely deceptive about its true nature." Shotty did some pushing of a sheet. "Published in the Secret Eye Journal, Volume 301 #21. Around here was a drop off point for humans, and other peoples, taken by the living gods from their ruinous homeworlds. Nobody seems to know quite where it is but it is widely believed that it could hold the key to lost histories, often dark mysteries and exotic resources; far from all wish to find it and a few would prefer it staid buried away along with other sites like it." Shully spoke. "Published in the Secret Eye Journal, Volume 307 #76. The SubUnderways, vast network of networks is said to remain underground across the whole of the subcontinent. It consists of transport hubs, roadway tunnels, railway tunnels, waterway tunnels, pathway tunnels, other types of utility hubs and who knows what else? None seem sure just how much of it survived Doomsday and, if so, in what condition. Generally accepted colour coding, of threat levels, are used in assessing the SubUnderways." So went the first five pages! Edited June 3 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start.
Maharg67
[2.7][15] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers The would be populist politician, Albata Ableson, tried to stir up trouble within the refugee population. Shotty observed him standing on top of a small, grassy, hill while ranting-raving a mildly drunken speech full of innacuracies, innuendoes and other falsehood. He had been attempting to serve on the Freetown Council but had failed the psychological test. Most candidates passed easily enough but not a minority such as Ableson. Shotty, in the bedroom of an inn, lifted up a pelletrifle and shot Albata in the forehead with that railgun type weapon. Albata slumped, dead, to the grassy ground and sparkle shimmered before becoming his trouble appearance as a grey-green doppelganger. As a victim, itself, the doppelganger had been saved the only way it could be. Somebody cried out being a mildly drunken young man. "I told you so, shape shifting lizard people." An older, male, voice responded. "Don't be a fool! That was a type of doppelganger. It is said that the GreatEnemy has many mind enslaved minions and one of those groups are doppelgangers." In a tone a sheer arrogance, and sharp ignorance, the younger man responded. "Yes, but what if the Gaiaregainers are all doppelgangers." The young fool would soon be rounded up by GaiaArkpolicers and taken to a psychological, social, assessment centre for evaluation. In doing so the GaiaArksystem was going to treat him as it would its own people if they did the same. Shotty double checked the clean, neat, bedroom once more, disassembled her compact pelletrifle and made it disappear into her shoulderbag that did not seem big enough to take it but which easily did so anyway. The normal blonde, blue eyed, young woman was, at that moment, a brown eyed brunette with dusky white skin. She slipped out of the apartment knowing that Rattanboy had done some nifty tricks, with the inn security system, to cover her tracks. The older male voice had belonged to Professor Sagesmart who also had a disguise on including his name. Edited June 3 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[2.7][15] GaiaArkdom0314, During Trouble Outside of the Barriers Sharry frowned softly, and of course, sweetly as one of the five beautiful blondes with their slimly voluptuous muscular bodies. She wore, as the others did, only her rather tight gamesuit but did not seem aware of the effect of this on the male Seekaplayers. Except that there did not seem to be much of that, with the five men. "Since the first 'flash incident', of yellow white energies, a change has been taking place with we GaiaArkfolk of this GaiaArkdom. People are increasingly fitter, healthier and more youthful; along with that has come strengthening fertility." The SQuins stood on a wide stage with, behind them, a 3Dscreen view of the gracefully gorgeous supercity of Centropolis beneath its multiple citydomes being the former capital city of the United Commonwealths of Centralia, the mighty UCC. Did it still look that way, after Doomsday? They did not know! The SMix was there, all sleeping along with the Seekaplayers and former Seekaplayers. There were also robots, androids, animals, plants and even iridescent mushrooms in a special tank. Compubabies were there but were behaving themselves as in slumbering. Shenny sighed. "We are all pen, meaning 'power enhanced' but also geng as in 'genetically engineered'. In truth we, who are robots or androids, are not truly so and the same is true for the elementals that are also of special, even unique, nature. We were created by a very obscure Gaiaregainer Faction known as the Gaiareseeder Order with the assistance of a better known one as the Gaiaresearcher Order. We SQuins wish we could tell you more but we know very little ourselves. With out the flash incident we suspect we would not know that much. Perhaps more information will come to us and we will then pass it onto you." Shimmy said. "We were manipulated into terminating the doppelganger in public. We SQuins would not have carried out that mission or at least not in that way. What surprised us is that the refugees took it in their stride until it turned out that doppelganger infiltration is a problem that they have long gotten used to dealing with. None seemed to be angry, with the doppelganger, knowing that it was a victim of some kind." Shotty: "GaiaArkdom0314 Security Systems picked up on doppelganger intrusions but the supercomputer responses were interfered with by unknown GaiaArkdom individuals or even by another supercomputer. Earlier doppelgangers were picked up and placed in safe, secure, quarantine seclusion which will happen again with the arrival of the next batch of refugees. We Gaiaseekers will try to find who-what was behind that hacking operation." Shully stretched herself. "Has anybody got anything to add?" Sagesmart nodded, in his scholarly outfit of a Predoomsday Sageprofessor. "We could learn more about the GaiaArkdoms themselves with out gaining enough knowledge to compromise their security." Rattanboy: "At least more about the five that are supposed to be here on this subcontinent." K9herois grumbled from where he lay, on the stage, close to Shimmy: "We could visit the Museum of Questing Clues." It turned out to be a popular idea amongst the Seekaplayers there; what harm could visiting a mere museum do? Edited June 3 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[3.1][16] GaiaArkdom0314, During Transformation and Trouble Inside the Barriers Another flash of yellow white energies took place but it was more intense than anything that had gone before it. The Freezone became part of the new Freemary realm where thousands of more refugees continued to arrive being from locations across the subcontinent including beneath its surface. Freemary became ruled only partly by GaiaArkfolk forming part of a new Freemary Parliament as linked to a new Freemary Constitution, Government, Citizen Councils, Forces and other forms, expressions. That is such as cooperatives, corporations, a university, collages, academies, forces and more. GaiaArkdom0314 was now separated from Freemary but was also transformed-transforming as changes continued to take place there. The muffled sounds, of gunfire and small explosions, echoed through the great superconcrete ways of Complex West040 as the Gaiaseekers headed towards Hubway676. They passed climbervines reaching up waterfall flowing walls and Gaiaguards sporting the Radical Reformation Banners. The old elitist structure, that had risen in the centuries since Doomsday, was at last crumbling mostly as a result of its own weaknesses. The SQuins had learned that the arising of the Gaiaseekers, and Seekaplayers, had been of great surprise to those of GaiaArkdom0314 who had long been trying to hide that contact had been lost with the other four GaiaArkdoms stated to exist in the subcontinent. Long distance tunnelways, and cables, had been found to be sabotaged but by whom? With that loss, of contact, had ceased resupplies from GaiaArkdom0777 including regular reinforcement of precious numbers. None, of the local GaiaArkfolk, knew the truth. Or so went the official story but it was a lie! The dead, looted, bodies of Elite Loyalists lay untidily heaped in one corner. The elites, and those serving them, had been stealing from resupplies while enslaving any reinforcement people arriving. Just why this process had begun was unknown though it was whispered that a pale stranger had arrived from GA0777 just before the troubles had begun. There had been a growing schism, between the elites and the commons, for centuries; that is amongst the awakened though not amongst the deepsleepers as protected by the keepers. The fighting had broken out when it was learned, by the Radical Reformers, that the Elite Loyalists had tried to attack the deepsleepers to enslave and loot them but why? That is why bother to do that when they had been stealing so much from the resupplies coming in from GA0777? The Gaiaseekers halted to crouch behind a barricade of armour plating, armoured vehicles, foambags, sandbags, and lots else that had come in handy. Gaiaguards blazed away with pulseguns, railguns a blasters along with missiles, rocketgrenades plus even laserguns and the newcomers soon joined in. The enemy were former Gaiaguards now known as Gaiatopiaguards of the supposedly wonderful new Gaiatopia, or Gaia Utopia. Except there seemed to be a 'wrongness' about them as they behaved in extreme aggression, overconfidence and even clumsiness at times. Even though they came in head to toes body armour suits, they were being butchered. The keepers had done the same in defending the deepsleepers. The other surprise was that not all of them had weapons but a few were using adapted laser tools, nailguns and even basic fire axes. There came yet another flash of yellow white energies that went through everybody and everything. Edited June 3 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[3.2][17] GaiaArkdom0314, During Transformation and Trouble Inside the Barriers The Palyelord, as the pale man stated his title as being, had found it easy enough to manipulate enough of the arrogant, hubris soaked, elitist fools to start of the crimes. Others he had arranged for his foolish new allies to assassinate or had his own Palyefollowers do so for him. Yet some elitists had escaped him, had turned upon him and the traitors, to send a message to GaiaArkdom0777 for them to cease to send further people and goods until further notice; after getting a 3Dphoto of the Palyelord they had quickly done so. The loyal ones had then been butchered by the enraged traitors but it was far too late for the situation to be reversed. There were those who had died recently enough to be simply brought back to life with renewed, or even new, bodies and that is what happened to many of them. Fewer returned to living who had died further back in history, the numbers thinning out the further back in time their death dates went. After destroying androids, and robots, of certain kinds for inexplicable reasons, the Palyefolk had vanished away taking stolen resources with them. Those GaiaArkfolk who betrayed their own were in turn betrayed by his kind, if he really was a 'he'. The androids, and robots, were as new once more and stolen resources had not only been replaced but had been tripled in quantity. In chambers, as formerly inhabited by the Palyefolk and his kind, Gaiaseekers found evidence of them drinking animal blood and eating clonemeat. There were cages where captives had been tortured of penhumans. K9herois sniffed the air. "Vampires of psychic energies through fear and pain." Shimmy nodded, by his side. "Palyefolk were once, according to information arisen in the minds of we SQuins, a fairly wise people of amazing, if eccentric, technologies but they were also full of hubris. It is written that they fell to the influence of the Great Manipulator thus starting a terrible war against one another. Celestial intervention took place but only after a few Palyefolk had escaped in a fleet of stolen starships. Those, that remained, changed their identities to mark a new age of refined progress of body, mind and spirit." On an old fashioned blackboard were strange chalk diagrams, symbols and line drawings of illustrations. Shimmy frowned. "They were trying to discover something that were robots, or androids, while not being thus at all. Perhaps they were trying to find some of us Seekaplayers." There were plenty of clues that the Palyefolk had used odd mechanisms there and had taken them with them. There were superconcrete vats covered internally in horrible slime growths, rusting iron chains hanging from ceiling gantries, what looked like steel torture racks, steel holding cages and other items of the same kind. A smaller flash, of yellow white energies, shot through the place so that it became cleaned up except for some neatly put aside, contained, samples of certain substances. In theory it should have been the end of the internal troubles of GA0314 but in practice... Edited June 3 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start.
