Maharg67
[6.1][28] Trouble in Little Museum Town of Questing Clues Three, of the SMidgets, made their way through the sprawling, partly underground, Little Museum Town where a growing population of part time and casual employees lived along with their families and camp followers. Cheap knock offs, of genuine bargain basement museum souvenirs, were sold at many of the market stalls to manoids who had not much to spend in the way of cash. Semiretired androids, and robots, tended busy workshops. 3Dprinted food stuffs were popular along with hydrovat grown fresh produce, the popularity arising from limited affordability. Some gangthugs had one look at the short SMidgets and decided to keep their distance. This might have had been due to a subtle sense of threat or perhaps it was the heavy armour, and armaments, that the three shortbods were sporting. News, of the vanishing of the museum board members, had spread through out the growing town, especially that of the locally popular chairperson who had supported the founding of Little Museum Town. The way that they had seemingly vanished, in an impossible manner from a very highly secured chamber, had added to the spread of the story and the conspiracy theories that resulted in response to it. In what was little more than a eating-drinking hole in a stone wall, the three at 3Dprinted breadbiscuits, cherry tomato salad and small creamlacrems. With it the food they drank reasonable quality coffee laced with milk and honey in the manoid manner. Harold Vaner, of the Vaners Journal, sat down and joined in the repast for Shazzy, Shevvy and Shurry were paying. The thin, tall, human clearly like the creamlacrems. Harold sighed, gulped down the last of his second mug of coffee, and then spoke. "Golp the Tinkerer, social misfit and petty criminal, said she made up a trick device for an unknown customer; it made noises as if a museum board meeting was taking place even if that was not happening. She is a fine technician and put good work into her device but even so was very generously paid for it. There was something, about the masked client, that chilled her to the bone so she moved the location of her shop-workshop after 'he' left. Just hours later somebody smashed into her old premises, through the back door. That door was heavily secured and armoured but what ever struck it threw it through the air like it was made of cardboard." Shazzy wished she could reach the floor with her boots while sitting on the chair. "So, the board meeting never took place or so it would seem if such a device was used to sow the deception that it did take place when no such happened." The journalist shrugged. "By the time museum security managed to get into the meeting chamber they found nobody there but the device was playing a false meeting. It was very cleverly done as the client had told Golp the Tinkerer just what board members would be at the meeting including the chairperson." Shurry spoke. "Inform Golp the Tinkerer that we can find her a safe place to lay low if she needs it." Harold nodded. "If I can get hold of her I will for she has gone to ground but still there are ways of spreading a message through this town's whisper network." They passed to Harold a thick envelope with some registered, validated, cashcards and information for the journal. Edited June 7 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[6.2][29] Trouble in Little Museum Town of Questing Clues A married couple, of investigative detective doctors, in their 'gumshoe' gear, blasted away at the creature with their powerful revolver pistols even as Shurry, Shazzy and Shevvy did their same with their automatic battlepistols. The Palyeling, a dark spiritual psychic entity, was hurled back through the hole, in the stone block wall, and then was gone. It was badly damaged and would take some time to fully recover but it was far from finished. There was a good chance that what ever Palye were behind its summoning would have suffered metaphysical damage which was a bonus. Sculder, the brunette woman of a lesser immortal, put her gun away and adjusted her trilby. "We serve the XARISA, an acronym sounded out as a word,Β being the Xenofile Archives Research Investigations Security Agency." Shazzy spoke. "You look like private detectives of ancient Hollywood of one of the lost human homeworlds; is that wise?" Sculder sighed. "We went to a costume party just before we were sent after Golp the Tinkerer to try to save her; we have our mysterious mentor-benefactor who gives us missions that we are generously paid to carry out. We were warned that this case is linked to the Palye and that always means trouble." Foxulder, her husband and partner, spoke. "We are going to need bigger guns if we have to deal with such as Palyelings!" Golp was of the uncommon people known as gnomes that had come from the homeworld of the Fae after a great magical war had left it devastated. That is the living gods hadΒ brought many of them in exchange for assisting both them and their homeworld; the living gods always kept such pledges, partly because it was quite easy for them to do so. They had done the same with the mentioned human homeworld after it suffered a world war of nuclear, biological and chemical super weapons. Golp was a typically tough gnome, one of the traditional hillsfolk who dwelt in underground warrens of a semicommunal nature. They fixed her up as best they could before the five of them took the gnome with them back to where the Phantom of the Museum was still blissfully dwelling with his companions. Maharg67
[6.3][30] Trouble in Little Museum Town of Questing Clues The gnome tried not to look guilty as she lay in a medibed that had been adjusted for her short height. "Being of a rather curious nature, I added an audiovisual pickup to the deception device that I built for the creepy client. Well, I wanted extra information to protect myself if I had to use it. Trouble was I discovered too much." In the very much improved home of the Phantom of the Museum, a 3Dwallscreen showed a slightly blurry vision of a figure standing and talking to others who were out of the recording range of the hidden camera. It seemed to be a Palyelord but it was not clear if it was the same one that had come to the GaiaArkdom just before trouble began with its elites or not. Then it spoke. "The Palyelord rogue came here before stealing resources and taking something from the secondary red door deepvault." The strange entity sniffed the air and then kept speaking. "It was getting more difficult to hold onto the false identity of the chairperson. The 'vanishing' became necessary a clumsy trick. We still need to find the real chairperson and find out what she knows about the rogue Palyelord TskTskara and just what he stole from that red doored vault." A second voice, sounding like that of a woman, spoke. "Lord, we are being spied upon as a tight radio transmission has been picked up broadcasting from that device. The gnome, called Golp the Tinkerer, has been tinkering too much. Like the treacherous Jack Jackson, she will have to die!" In that poorly lit chamber, that had the feel about of an old fashioned type brick basement, the Palyelord took out a short rod of red metallic nature and aimed it at the deception unit. The 3Dscreen vision blurred and then went blank. Golp spoke hurriedly as if to prove her value. "There is only one area, in Little Museum Town, of big red brick houses that all have basements like that one. It is Brickman Court!" Golp would remain there, in that place, getting better; to make sure she did not cause any trouble, she would be safely semiconscious in the medibed and nicely secured. At any moment two of the SMidgets, at least, would be in that place. Edited June 9 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[7.1][31] Inside the Second Red Door Deepvault Five storage display bays were there that were empty and had probably always been so, by the look of them. They were #2, #3, #7, #8 and #10. SD #1 held six industrial nuclear warheads that the Sharry at once had sent to safety in the Seekabaseship. SD #4 had an atomic powered sentinel battle robot of a SentinelPrime but in compacted down compaction storage form; it went the same way as SD #1's contents. SD #5 had a fusion power generator that, with some adjusting, could safely serve Freetown and would soon enough be doing so. SD #6 was one of those that had an artefact taken from that was listed, on a poorly informative inventory sheet, as Unknown ID Item Classed Rainbow 4445A11. SD #9 was a blackened area, scorched and with the few remains of what had probably been Palyefollowers. What ever the rogue Palyelord had taken had clearly wanted to be left alone. If there had been any inventory sheet there it had either been totally destroyed or taken. Sharry, and Shenny, had checked out the deepvault when they came to deepsense that the 'rainbow' artefact was still there. Then it materialised as a floating, swirling, rainbow sphere and followed them home so their instincts proved correct after all. Something very sneaky invisible went with Shenny by hiding in her arms where it went to sleep after departing from SD #2. Then there were the others that were 'not there at all' but came along anyway. Edited June 8 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[7.2][32] Inside the Second Red Door Deepvault The apparition flickered, fluxed, flowed in the one spot in the deepvault and if anybody had witnessed this taking place they would have seen in it odd glimpses of; that is of the SQuins, SMix and the SMidgets but also perhaps more than that as in male versions of them along with other variants. Yet there were other type entities as well or were they truly separate from each other. There were others, of the Seekaplayers, and newer Seekaservers, but more on the edges than those of the SOneplus. The apparition flashed rainbow, red, yellow and white in patterning of energies before it vanished away as the Seekaplus. Palyelord TskYahari, a distant egg cousin to TskTskara the rogue, only remained a short time in that place along with his small number of Palyefollowers that included a Palyesublord woman who served him as his personal assistant. He sniffed at the air, frowned softly and then departed rapidly from that place, taking his people with him as if in a great hurry to get away from there. Perhaps he had more than one, strong, reason to do so. Edited June 8 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start.
Maharg67
[8.1][33] During Seekateam Gaiaseekers Refresh or even Rebirth!? The Seekabaseship seemed to come alive, somehow, as a flash of rainbow, yellow, white energies shot through it and everybody-everything inside it but also out from it. The SQuins welcomed on board the Rainbowisit of the rainbow sphere floating through the air but then they, along with others, deepsensed the SOneplus-Seekaplus core entity come into the Seekabaseship and then to flow into it, to blend with it. The MuseumΒ of Questing Clues was soon absorbed into an Outerzone of the Seekabaseship including Little Museum Town but not much at all changed with either, at least not then. Sharry stood on a platform in a much bigger Seekaplus Chamber, as it would soon come to be known. "GaiaArkdom0314 was created as a prototype that was meant to be abandoned before Doomsday took place, that is both abandoned and salvaged of most of its useful resources. Not that it had much as it is said to be much smaller than the other four GaiaArkdoms of the desolate subcontinent. Doomsday struck before it was predicted, by the Gaiaregainer Order and its allies. Hence only a relatively small, waking, staff kept the place going with the help of supercomputers, androids, robots and automatia. Most people ended up in the deepsleepcapsules or DSCs." The SQuins had visited the museum display chamber with its exhibition focused on the history of GA0314. Before the mysterious appearance of the Seekaplayers the GaiaArkdom had only limited resources to use but during a short period, their emergence, a flash of yellow white energies had taken place. The Seekaplayers had not been aware of it taking place or that the bigger, more sophisticated, GA0314 had gained much from it as it had continued to do so after that with more energy incidents. That it was all focused on the Seekaplus, as now called, was a surprise though it was pleasing that more than they had gained from what had been taking place. After Sharry spoke some more, Shenny took over. "So why our sudden appearance and what is our purpose or should I say duel purpose?" Shimmy, who had married K9herois while both were in human shapeform, spoke out. "The Seekateam's purpose appears to be to support, in various ways, the Gaiaseeker Quests that in turn serve the cause of the Gaiaregainers." K9herois grumbled in his sleep, curled up as he was close to Shimmy as a wolfdog. Shotty was close to Stanley who was eating a fruity cupcake as a few others were doing in that place; Stanley had proven quite apt at certain types of bakery. "The first HOCT Maze Mission will be based in a maze inside an outer zone of the Seekabaseship itself." Shurry spoke. "It will be based, loosely, on one of the Cratertowns of the Craterzone. Question is, who will be going?" After the ambush, that had taken place, none seemed too keen to volunteer but a team was formed anyway. Maharg67
[8.2][34] During Seekateam Gaiaseekers Refresh or even Rebirth!? As with every Cratertown the settlement was based around a disintegration caused crater or so went official history. Shurry, in her gamesuit and mazesuit, blasted away with her battlerifle at a heavy machinegun equipped bandit buggy. The volatile fueled machine exploded dramatically, 'killing' the two buggy bandits on board. One driver, and one gunner, was often the trick with bandit buggies holding heavier weapons. Otherwise a buggy would have one driver and three shooters with smaller guns. The buggies were rough terrain, four wheeled, four wheel drive, vehicles with some armouring which was pretty much all that they had in common with each other. They looked like they had been workshop manufactured from a wide range of interesting materials including from robots, machinery, buildings and even from other transports. They kept coming, the Seekaplayers kept blowing them apart. A rocket-grenade launcher bandit buggy exploded as SargeGAI wiped it out with a laserrifle, hitting a rocket-grenade before it could leave the launcher. With the robotic sergeant was just one corporal and two privates as allowed for the current team arrangement. The humanoid robots mainly hammered away with chainguns. So far the HOCT Maze was turning out to be fairly easy to deal with but this only put the Seekaplayers on higher alert. Buggy bandits, on foot, fired from long ago broken up buildings that had been ravaged by those seeking construction materials. An old AtomicCola advertising sign was surprisingly, partly, intact showing off a fairly skimpily dressed AtomicGirl in her tight, impractical, spacesuit. AtomicGirl, and her brother AtomicBoy, had both been rather controversial because of the gear they wore along with other reasons. The Purity League of Centralia had often tried to have them banned thus helping them to be more popular along with other AtomicHeroes. The android, Gunslingerjo, picked up the glowing collectable of an AtomicGirl figurine and the Seekateam earned Gamecredit, a Gameling and a special theme package. Another rocket-grenade buggy was blown away but by it hitting a long ago buried landmine. Only one, remote driven, explosives rigged buggy had been sent and it had only managed to destroy another buggy as it detonated. Maharg67
[8.3][35] During Seekateam Gaiaseekers Refresh or even Rebirth!? The glowing AtomicGirl figurine stood pride of place by itself away from the non glowing figurines of AtomicBoy, AtomicGirl, AtomicApe, AtomicDog, the android of AtomicDroid and AtomicRobot. At first only linked with AtomicCola advertising, they later became the characters of the 3Dcartoons of AtomicHeroes.Β It was whispered that, in far of Centropolis, that the Atomic Delights Corporation, the ADC, was still producing their consumables, collectables and publications. Except not much at all was truly known about the multiple domed supercity and its fate. In the new display were AtomicCola bottled drink varieties of Original, Diet, Cherry Delight, Blast Off, Vanilla and Nucleus. There were three choices of AtomicCoffee, some AtomicPies, chocolate AtomicBars, and even AtomicWater that was just pristine water. Every item, in the enclosed display stand, was carefully preserved and there was space enough for more ADC products to be added. Sharry, who had married Gavag Mirrorboy, studied the display. "Perhaps what is important, here, is not those items that are present but at least some that are not?" Gavag nodded. "None of the most controversial types of AtomicCola are there as in Oblivion, Vortex,Β Fusion Dreams and at least one other. They were not produced in Centropolis as the other varieties were but in the domed city of Paradisetopia that was situated where the Great Craterlake is now to be found." Paradisetopia was where the Teknacorp, Tekna Corporation, had its homebase. That supercity had only truly been a paradise for a few filthy rich elites at the top. It was a largely automatic, robotic metropolis served also by an army of mostly basic androids. Then there had been the whispered of slave population but generally not much was known about them. Gavag went on. "Some secondary character figures are missing like AtomicMan and AtomicWoman, the parents of AtomicBoy and AtomicGirl." Sharry frowned. "What of the supposedly evil AmazonGirls, the enemies of the Centralian Dream?" Gavag sighed. "They wore even less gear than did the human AtomicHeroes. There are plenty of other characters missing such as any of the AtomicVillains.Β Yes, I once was an artist writer for the 3Dcartoons and then the 3Dcomic magazines. Every items seems to be placed on a sensory plate of some kind." The display had materialised, with a soft sparkling shimmer, and yes the disk shaped plates had been well noted. Stanley had hoped for AtomicCupcakes but, alas, none had appeared. Edited June 9 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[8.4][36] During Seekateam Gaiaseekers Refresh or even Rebirth!? Paradisetopia had existed some distance from the Twistler Power Tower Project but the creation, of the Great Craterlake, had engulfed it anyway. By then the supercity had become largely abandoned as it was overtaken by a series of inexplicable troubles; were they linked to what would happen later? The remaining elites were said to be crazy cultists and their lesser followers plus minions. It was said that a great slave rebellion had led to them escaping from the false paradise along with the smarter androids and robots. What had replaced them, as minions, was a subject of horror and fear. The greatly enlarged, enhanced, augmented holographic map table showed Paradisetopia until it was replaced, with a control command, by part of the Great Craterlake. The SQuins were quietly studying the display. Other Seekateamers where with them and, apart from the sleeping K9herois, were observing the SQuins at work. The SMix were busy on a range of projects for their creativity and drive had been enhanced. Childlike adult Shendy drew landscapes with a collection of fine art pencils. Shandy, and Sherry, were busy making clay things with great glee as permababies. Shorey, and Shurly, were doing a wall mural as permateens. The permafant Shippy was being bathed by Stanley the pengorilla after going mad with lots of paint. The Shz5 of Shazan, Shezem, Shizik, Shozod and Shuzul were calmer, more disciplined, than they had been in the past and were in the process of trying to form a pop rock hover surfie band. Thankfully they had been convinced to practice in a sound proof enclosure. Mummybots, nannybots, Compubabies had been joined by Compufants (cyborg infants), Computweens and Computeens along with a small number of Compuadults plus other robots with their Compuborg kind. Batmanbot wandered off with See3pio followed by MrCarryon. It was not long until the only ones remaining with the SQuins were K9herois and Gavag with both of them being curled up together, asleep. The SQuins kept observing the holographic map as every so often they made adjustments to it. Edited June 9 by Maharg67 To show that this story has been edited from the start. Maharg67
[8.5][37] During Seekateam Gaiaseekers Refresh or even Rebirth!? Sharry examined the great 3Dwallscreen that showed, in diagram fashion, the resources of the Seekateam including its people. There were the Seekaplayers, the Seekaservers, the new Seekacarers and the rising Seekafollowers outside of the Seekateam but assisting it. "Celestiagamers are tagged up there, above the Seekateam, as its patrons, mentors, benefactors and tributees. We had assumed that the Doomsgame, Doomsworld, was completed but it seems we were wrong. Everything is going through a final stage of reformation, and refinement, as the Doomsworldgames.Β Seekagamers are Celestiagamers who are directly focused on the Seekateam as advisers and testers but they state, unequivocally, that they did not set up the ambush beyond the red door. Like us they have been unable to track down the culprits though they have gained some leads." Sharry frowned. "Jack Jackson was not killed by any Palyelord, rogue or otherwise, or so the Deepsleep Keepers have confirmed. What ever destroyed that man did it in the same manner as Palye were wiped out inside the secondary red doored vault; we can only speculate what that means until we gain more information." Rainbowisit hovered there, in mid air, or at least one aspect of it did. There was no 'sense' at all of the avatar entity being anything but positive and friendly. Shenny spoke. "SMidgets have been searching the grimy, artistic, petty criminal, slums of Brickman Court that the Little Museum Town Council is planning to demolish after it removes its people but there is going to be a fight; they found a briefly hired out basement where the non rogue Palyelord was there along with his followers. Smartly enough they must have gotten out of there after discovering Golp the Tinkerer's trickery. Golp is now living with some gnomes in Freetown where she should be safe; that is in a semicommunal warrens like building." Shimmy spoke. "Chairperson Ashahari was mimicked by Palyelord TskYahari for a while but was the original Chairperson even a genuine person? The Ghost of the Museum has stated that she was, somehow, 'both there and not there' but she is not the only one, like that, that the interesting entity has detected in the Museum of Questing Clues though they are not common. They could be entities projected in from another location." Shotty nodded. "Just as some of us Seekaplayers were projected into the HOCT Maze being both there and not there. That means infiltrators from other player teams might be busy here." Shurry shrugged. "Yet again not enough information to confirm or deny."
