1901: Nikola Tesla partners with JP Morgan https://teslauniverse.com/nikola-tesla/timeline/1901-tesla-partners-jp-morgan#:~:text=Tesla Partners w%2F J.P. Morgan March 1st%2C 1901,mere %24150%2C000.00. 1901 Marconi Succeeds December 6th%2C 1901

Replace Mr Morgan with a decent, non narcissistic human being (they exist) who's on the side of improving the standard of all human beings no matter who, instead of just being the greedy business minded thing he was, not wanting to share the wealth but lock it away for the privileged few.

1920 : Possible wireless and free power for all, wireless communication, electric cars and other tech spawned from those techs, we may have had computers decades sooner.

The power of one or a small few can shape the fate of billions right into the far future, as has been demonstrated with our society on numerous occasions, we just keep allowing the wrong people too much power.

Tesla was a brilliant mind - but he didn't understand a Capitalist society.

Free doesn't sell...   Nobody makes money on free.

In a utopian world - he could have been a god.

In the U.S. he was destined to be cast aside and an afterthought - no matter how much of a genius he was.

----

Think about it.

I owned a 1986 GMC 1500.   I got 20MPG with it - with a 350 V8.....

Today, in 2024 the same size truck with far, far, far more computerized "optimization" struggles to get 20 MPG.

Why?    Free doesn't sell.    Getting more for less is almost as bad as free.....

Trucks today though, are heavier, and more capable that the older versions. The fact that a TRUCK still can manage 20mpg is farking outstanding. 😄 My old 79 blazer (full time 4wd) could only manage 11. It didn't matter what I was doing, full, empty, towing, hauling, 11 mpg..... Of course, gas was well under a buck a gallon when I was driving that.... so, crappy gas mileage didn't matter. 😄

If it was possible to create free energy the energy companies would do it and then charge for it.

Of course they would. Gotta pay for that transmission infrastructure somehow....

Our leaders are very stupid. They should have used a secret proxy to fund all of Tesla's needs and wants in exchange for patents.. which would go to the government.
