Talon111
For some reason my games crash to desktop whenever I use SFSE. It doesn't matter how many times I have installed it either using Vortex or manually. The crash happens at the menu screen. This has happened with every version, so I have not been able to use SFSE at all. Does anyone else have or had this issue? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. HeyYou
Which game version are you running? And is it up to date?
LarannKiar
If you have the correct SFSE version for your game (which must be the Steam version), then make sure don't have any SFSE plugins (.dll files) in your ..\Starfield\Data\SFSE\Plugins folder when you open the game with SFSE as outdated plugins are among the most common sources of CTD on / shortly after game launch. If you have, temporarly move them to another folder to determine whether it's really a plugin issue. If the game opens without SFSE plugins, then you'll need to move them back to ..\SFSE\Plugins one by one until you find the culprit.. If not, you can try the SFSE plugin named Trainwreck which is a crash logger. If SFSE loads it, it creates a crash log somewhere in ..\Documents\My Games\Starfield\SFSE. It may point to the cause of the crash.
