grw Posted June 12 Share Posted June 12 Hello! I have noticed that with “Main Menu Replacer” the video seems to block the input when a dialog opens. At first I thought it was due to my FallUI installation, but there wasn't the actual problem. Above all, it happens with every replacer that inserts a new video for the main menu. So I tried around and created a video myself (RAD's Tools). As soon as a video other than the original main menu video is installed and e.g. a warning dialog appears when loading a save game (e.g. because you have deactivated a mod that is saved in this save game...), the dialog appears, but neither mouse nor keyboard work. So you are stuck in the dialog and have to close the game. As soon as I rename the video (rename extension) and it is not loaded, everything works perfectly again. I am currently trying to find out where this input block is coming from. The original video is “Bink 2.2” and as a replacement you can only use “Bink 1”. Could this be because FO4 does not like this? Does anyone have any ideas? Alternatively, the only possible workaround would be to switch off the warning messages. Is this possible? I am grateful for any help! The Main Menu Replacer! And I always thought it was just the NG update from Bethesda and an update of F4SE would be enough. I copied my replacer in without VORTEX (ages ago, 2-3 years?), let's see if I can find the original author. Thanks for the note/info. Without the Replacer videos (I created one myself with RAD's tools) it runs without any problems. But there is no solution. And why doesn't this happen with the original video? Why only with Replacer videos, which are all "Bink 1". Actually, the video should not block the input. So it must be something else around it. The "Main Menu Replacers" only replace the standard video and create a corresponding music file in .XWM format (or .WAV, if .XWM causes problems...). That's all these replacers do. So I don't understand why this blocks the input. It must be something else. But you can test it. Simply rename the replacement video and start the game. You will no longer be blocked... A few days ago the "Address Library" and "xSE PluginPreloader F4" was updated to 1.10.984 and has been working perfectly since then (also other mods). Can you send me the link to this Video Replacer Mod? I would like to test it... if this mod works, maybe it uses a different method and thus the dialogs are not blocked! That could be a solution!
