Shadeybladey
Background I made a record for breaking down Dwemer Scrap Metal in my "Sensible Item Breakdown" Mod, which also changes the name to "Dwemer Metal, Scrap" to be consistent with my Alchemy mod. Both mods also change the weight and gp value of several things to make them more "Sensible". Highly crafted items like Urns, ornamental bowls, Gyros and Centurion Dynamo Cores are worth more than 5 gp per lb and cannot be smelted into Ingots but can be ground into Alchemy reagents. It also fixes nonsense like a Scrap item weighing 2 lbs giving 3 Ingots, just because the item value is 15 gp. Remembering Morrowind and how heavy and valuable these things were, I changed the base price to 7.5 Septims per pound and adjusted the number of smeltable Dwarven ingots accordingly, so Smiths and Vendors will pay 25% (7.5 gp) of the price of a Dwarven Ingot per lb of scrap. EG, a Dwemer Cog weighs 10 lb, so is worth 75 gp and can be smelted into 10 Dwarven Ingots worth 30 gp each, IE 300 gp. Anyway, I had two recipes at the Smelter for "Dwemer Metal, Scrap" and then realised that USKP already added this COBJ! So, probably foolishly, I marked the USKP record 04049B66 as Deleted in my mod, and it shows as deleted in the CK and TES5Edit, but it is still there in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. But it does not remove the USKP smelting recipe at the smelter, so I still have two recipes for the same thing. So I want to do what I should have done in the first place and change the USKP recipe, and change the name of the Form to _shb_ScarpIngotDwarvenMetalScarp and then delete my recipes for this. Any advice? Cheers!
Shadeybladey
By the way, why can I not use colours in the original question?
PeterMartyr
removing records in another mod or masters is load it and your mod in the KIT with your mod set has active delete the offending record(s) save open your mod in xEdit wait for it to load right click it and select "undelete and disable references" save DONE deleting Records in your Mod is no brainer and I refuse to cover it BTW doing this steps 1 to 6 incorrectly is a f*#@ing in Game Crash waiting to happen.. so get it right
PeterMartyr
Edit my bad I am old and xEdit no longer support that, after closing the Kit Clean your mod with xEdit, cos it will crash the game under the right circumstances But congratulations, you have a dirty mod, officially
Shadeybladey
Well, I deleted it in my own mod in the first place, not in USKP. I'll see if I can clean my mod with TES5Edit. But why can I not just delete the record in TES5Edit? Cheers!
Shadeybladey
58 minutes ago, PeterMartyr said: it will crash the game under the right circumstances No sign of that, it's just I have two records for the same COBJ, with different Form IDs. But I was able to right click and Remove the deleted record 04049B66 from my mod.
