Blinkybubs
How do I save settings so that I don't have to configure settings from game to game if I want them to remain the same?
7531Leonidas
There are a number of "settings loader" mods by MaskedRPGFan. Either use the search at the top of the Skyrim Special Edition mods page, or search for MaskedRPGFan in the Users filter, and look at what he offers. I think that FISSES also can do something similar, but it has been hit-or-miss for me when trying to use it.
BlazeStryker
There is also MCM Helper. It won't cover everything (Time Flies is notorious for needing to be set each new run) but it helps (hence the name).
7531Leonidas
I think that MCM Helper is a requirement for the Settings Loader mods.
Blinkybubs
I'm not seeing an option to save settings anywhere and I do have mcm helper. Where do I look in the configuration setting manager? I am trying to save the settings from game to game not just on the current playthrough. Is this something I can do? 7531Leonidas
You have to find the Settings Loader mod(s) for the very mods you are trying to save the settings for: Immersive Wenches - Settings Loader, for Immersive Wenches, etc. Search for MaskedRPGFan in the Search box at the top of the main page by selecting the Users filter on the right side of the search box, and look at his mods. Way too many to list. Should you choose to use them, remember to keep one save from a previous character in your save games when you start a new character, so the settings will carry over into the new start.
Blinkybubs
Is the profiles tab in the skyrim configuration menu (in game) what I use to save my settings from one character to another?
7531Leonidas
Once you have the Settings Loader for your mod enabled, open your game, wait for all of your MCM mods to initialize/stabilize, then simply make sure that your MCM settings are set to the values you want, and save your game. I am pretty sure that the settings are somehow baked into the save, or the SKSE co-save, which is why you have to leave one save from the previous character when you make a new character, so your desired values carry over into a new game. I absolutely LOVE not having to reset A Matter of Time, NFF, or Trade and Barter from scratch when starting a new game.
Blinkybubs
I see, leave one save. I may have read your earlier post too hastily.
