Redawt
Bethesda made an official VS Code Extension for Starfield's Papyrus language. Here is a tutorial on how to set it up, and how to avoid a bug that the extension has. Redawt
For everyone what the bug is: If you use multiple folders for your VS Code Workspace, the path to the Papyrus Source codes needs to be at the top of your .code-workspace file. This bug happens regardless of if you tell the extension in its settings to use that folder. It also only happens if you have multiple folders in your VS Code Workspace, and it also doesn't happen if you don't save your workspace as a workspace file. brainboru
I'm not seeing "Extension Settings" when I right click on Papyrus in VS Code extensions menu. Any suggestions?
DarkFox127
It looks like Bethesda did something when they last updated the script. My video here covers installation and getting scripts to compile within VS Code. I downloaded a 6-month old version of the kit using Steam manifests and grabbed the old extension file which seems to work fine, dumping it on my Google Drive, although maybe slightly outdated if looking to make use of any new Papyrus functions from more recent DLC.
