jjb54
So I started ( wrongly ) the Saints & Seducers quest and did it wrong. So normally I would simply Turn OFF the given mod ... save without it and go back and Turn back ON and start over. . o O ( Simple huh? ) Well no, I found out too late that it's Creation Club built into the game and you can *NOT* do that. So now I either have to start over ( hopefully an earlier game ) and will revert. Bethesda - I know you are not reading this ... but STOP MESSING WITH ** OUR ** game. anjenthedog
Seems like you should just have to open a savefile made prior to starting the quest to solve that issue. For that matter, that works for almost any crap situation you get into. It does require the player to make save files along the way, so you have failsafe fallbacks... FTR, and wadr, it's their game. you just purchase rights to use a copy.
jjb54
Yes, I am doing that ... but I had suffered loss of Lakeview being done and few other side quests. Hopefully this will work ... but that is the problem with CC - embedded mods ... you cannot just "Turn it off" ... go in Save Game and then Turn it back on, without suffering major loss of game time. showler
Sure you can't just move the file out of your data directory temporarily to achieve what you want?

Beth in their infinite stupidity - hard set the CC into the base game. You take 1 out and the game will not load.
showler
I only have a test save, but moving "ccbgssse025-advdsgs.esm" out of the data folder didn't stop my game from loading. I just got "missing saints and seducers, download, yes/no" chose "no" and it gave the "missing some content" warning but my game loaded fine. alphafr
Question being : did it reset? Because this would make resetting housing possible without restarting all over before you've build it

Okay - are these CC's that you bought / got or like me did this / they come preinstalled w/the current version of Skyrim SE/AE??

I always do incremental saves - then check it out to be sure all is good. That way I only have to back a save, that is maybe 2 minutes old. Saints and Seducers, along with all the CC content they added, is still a separate file. They don't give you the option to disable it in the menu but you can still just remove the file from the data directory.
