7 days to die Minimap

While driving around the map with friends I got to thinking, wouldn't this game be more enjoyable if there was an updated minimap mod that didn't require a tablet or phone to access, a small circle or square displaying an almost mirror image of what the full map would show including your character moving, this for me would make traversing the environment more fun as you wouldn't have to stop every so often to check for directions you could simply do it from the minimap, I'm not sure if such a thing could be done and even less sure if it could be done as a purely server-side mod, but if anyone is interested in making or attempting to make such a mod I'm sure myself, my friends and  (hopefully) countless others would be grateful
