executable doesn't exist - starfield - help please

Probably my fault, but Starfield will not launch from Vortex. I get a message stating "tool failed to run", click more and I get "executable doesn't exist, please check the configuration for the tool you tried to start".  Details for folder says "Executable: D:\Vortex\Downloads\Vortex_downloads_folder\__vortex_downloads_folder"

I can find that folder. it's there. but obviosly I'm missing doing something to link to the right place.

I'm playing the Xbox/gamepass version of Starfield.

Hopefully someone will know a solution - I've trolled about but not managed to find anything. I've deleted, reinstalled but still the same.

1. What version of the Starfield extension do you have installed?
2. Have you completed the download of Starfield in the Xbox app and launched it at least once?

Obviously the path shown to you is not where any executable is supposed to be. Holler back if you still have this error after ensuring you are on the latest version of the Starfield extension and confirmed the game is fully downloaded. 

If you created any custom tools for the game, delete them. You may have created a tool and pointed it at an inappropriate path.

Somehow you've set D:\Vortex\Downloads\Vortex_downloads_folder\__vortex_downloads_folder as a tool in Vortex.

Go to the dashboard, find the tools section and use the "Edit" option on each tool to work out which one you've messed with. I suspect it's the Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) shortcut.

It was indeed the Starfield Script extender causing the issue.

Hopefully resolved now.
