JoeyBagsLXIX
https://imgur.com/a/17CWwq2 Does anyone know why my textures in the images above from JK's Interior overhauls have this glossy sheen? I am using Lux and my gut feeling is that it has something to do with that, but I have all of the patches through the main patch FOMOD and yet these issues persist. Lux and all of its patches are loading after the interior mods as are the plugins. Sometimes the issue will go away, at least in the location I am in, but then when checking other locations the problem is back. I have also (although I don't have a picture of it) have been having an issue where tons of textures around Whiterun will be gone and flickering and was not having that issue prior to installing the interior mods (Lux was installed prior to installing the interior mods). If I fast travel around or reinstall Lux and its patches then the problem will go away, but these glossy textures will not, or at least not for long. Its on everything and is more visible depending on where or how I am looking at something. For example at Warmaidens, when I first walk in everything seems fine, but if I get closer then the vendor will show this sheen. Hair seems to be the most affected (no hair mods are installed). I just know this has to do with Lux/lighting, but I have reinstalled it and its patches I don't know how many times to make sure I have everything and checked to make sure all plugins for the patches are checked, but I cannot get rid of this issue. I've used these interior mods and Lux before in an older modlist I made and they worked fine so I am just confused as to why its not working now. I've tried everything I can think of so here is hoping someone can tell me how I am just missing something incredibly obvious and get the issue resolved. I have no "wetness" effect mods and aside from the weird Whiterun texture issue it is all only in interior locations. Nothing outside. Thanks! Karna5
That might be RIM lighting. Try typing the following in console to see if the effect goes away: cl off I have it disabled in my game, so I don't get that. p.s. I also don't use Lux nor ENB nor anything like that. JoeyBagsLXIX
Tried that, nothing changed. After looking around some more I feel even more certain that it is Lux related, and actually has nothing to do with JK's interior mods. I don't currently have the mod for his version of the Sleeping Giant Inn, but when I go there the issue is also seen.
drunkful
Hi OP, have you figured out whats causing the issue, I also have the exact same mods (JK's interior, Lux) in my load order and the exact same issue as yours, are you also using Cabbage enb 1.1 by any chance? The only solutions I found so far is turn off wetness in enb or just switch to other enb presets or update to cabbage 1.2 version. But cabbage 1.1 is just too good to give up. I have only notice this issue after I updated a few mods (Lux, Water for ENB, etc).
drunkful
Hi, dont know if you already figured it but, i managed to fix it by enabling dynamic cubemap in enbseries.ini, rolling back to enb version 0.499 released back in march also fix the problem
JoeyBagsLXIX
@drunkfulYes I was able to fix the problem. I didn't enable dynamic cubemap, maybe that would have done it as I never saw that recommended anywhere. The answer I found was that it was not related to Lux or JK's interiors at all, but rather in my ENB settings there was a setting for interior reflections and glossiness. Both were turned way up for some reason so I reduced them basically all the way down and boom, the issue was gone. I plan on going back at some point to restore some element of them, or at least reflections as that might be causing issues in some places I haven't been to yet, or maybe I won't as so far the problem is gone for me. I'll have to give the dynamic cubemap a look when I am able to do some more work on my list.

Yeah it seems to be cubemap related, weirdly problems only occur after entering an interior for a second time. Enabling dynamic cubemaps does seem to fix the issue, but it's very odd that the cubemaps seem to break all of a sudden. Thanks for your insight guys, much love
