Arpin282 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 I want to start the game again from the beginning , but before that I'm planning to verify the integrity of game files on steam because the last time I played there was a slight problem with heartfire and just to make sure if any files are corrupted or not. The question is whether verifying the game will affect the mods that have been installed? For example I installed CBPC, FNIS, XPMSSE, Race Menu, Quality World Map, SkyUI and some weapons, armor/clothing.
scorrp10 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 If you were already running latest game version (1.6.1170), and mods for it, then no. Otherwise, your game will be updated to latest, and you may need to update your core mods as well
7531Leonidas Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 If you cleaned the game masters to avoid problems w/other mods, then you will have to clean them again.
AaronOfMpls Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 @Arpin282 -- what they said. ↑ If you're on an older version (1.5.97 or 1.6.640), there might still be a way to not update, via the "secret" console tab in the Steam client; search around for "downgrade" info here. But I've never done that (I'm on the current 1.6.1170), and I'm not sure if those methods still work.
