Vortex using too much memory and keep crashing

hello ive tried to figure this out myself and now need help because its made vortex unusable now. ive tried uniinstalling and reinstalling, editing files. even repairing the net 6 program as well. my memory is at 3.51GB ive never had this problem before until now.

How much RAM does your PC have, and how much is Vortex actually using? Vortex uses about 1GB total on my PC at idle.

This kind of thing is usually down to a hardware issue or some kind of external program (e.g. Anti-virus) interfering with Vortex. 

I've only ever managed to get Vortex to show this warning by deploying a mod list of several thousand mods and even then it didn't crash.

my laptop has 36 GB of ram

honestly that would make sense but i have to figure out the issue of which is causing it
