Mod Manager Download button triggers download to Vortex

Hey Guys,

I just started into modding Skyrim SE and starting out I was only using Vortex not knowing anything about Mod Manager 2.  After having installed about 20 mods I learned about MM2 and downloaded it.  Naturally MM2 says "not managed" for my mods, so I disabled all of my mods in Vortex, erased all of the mods in the mod folder for steam and reinstalled the game hoping I could start from scratch.   So now I started MM2 and created a new instance for SSE associated MM2 to Nexus but when I try to download a mod using the "Mod Manager Download" button on Nexus it diverts only to Vortex and shows nothing of the mod in MM2.  How do I get MM2 to handle my mods instead of Vortex?  I don't mind starting from scratch if I need to as I have no saves on the game yet (but I have started it to make sure it works).  And if i do start from scratch (for Skyrim), what's the best way to get that done thoroughly.  Thanks guys.

You might see if this video by Golpher can help. Actually all the MO videos by Golpher are useful.

Press the "Configure Settings and Workarounds" button.

Press the "Nexus" tab.

Make sure that the "Nexus Connection" box shows "connected" (press the connect button if not)

Press the button labelled "Associate with 'Download with manager' links".

Nice!  This seems to have been the issue.  I was able to download and install a mod with MM2!  Now I just need to learn the program to realize it's potential.  Thank you, guys!
