rogallia
Hello, First weekend playing in the CK. My goal is to make misc decorated shelves and items. So far I've got some scol baskets of tatos in the game, but they only sit on the floor. I've tried duplicating vanilla shelf-items and replacing the nif, and adding the workshopanythingisground property to the statics with no luck. so i've probably overlooked something. if anyone can point me in the right direction for further reading i'd appreciate it. ChuckYufarley
Try using WorkshopStackableItem.
Qrsr
Btw is there a keyword which allows to place objects almost everywhere? Inside objects, into ground, etc.

This alone didn't work, but I think the tutorial I was watching left out a step. Turning the SCOL back into a static and having the CO build that seems to have done the trick. Qrsr
I remember you can also create a LoadScreen scol its slighty different and might better work for the workshop
PJMail
Be aware that turning an SCOL back into a static will crash the CK if at some point you attempt to build precombines with it. The nif in an SCOL tends to be set to high precision which is a CK crasher. Very decorated shelves will cause FPS drops so people will usually precombine the area to restore performance - so this is not a theoretical issue... It happens constantly with such mods.... Qrsr
The problem is that SCOLs which collect many meshes into one, will cause alot of material data to load it real time, its probably the cause of CTDs
PJMail
Probably, but the issue with precombines is the CK cannot precombine a high precision mesh - and for some reason the nif from an SCOL is high precision.
