I don't really understand the whole concept of "game communities" as shown here; a forum makes sense to me, but having a different forum that's separate from the actual forum confuses me more than a little.  Still, I tried to play along, and posted my question there:

my response has been silence.  when I've asked questions on the actual forum, they at least got SOME acknowledgement.  Did I do something wrong, or was it wrong of me to try and do something right?

You did nothing wrong there.  There probably just aren't as many people browsing that part of the forum.  (Probably doesn't help that the specific game forums aren't easily discovered from the main forum page.)

I wish I had a solution too, but I've never played any of the Mass Effect games.

There's not much that can be done here. Unfortunately, very few Mass Effect players who might know the answer are browsing the forum at the moment.
