well, the assassins from tribunal are seriously weak actually a level 1 with basic equipment from arrille's tradehouse could beat em.

but once u get into the quests u'll start dying at level 15

wot i did with my character was level up to 20, bloodmoon, morrowind, tribunal.

neways, play morrowind first basically, spend some time leveling up for the expansions, when level 20 u can try bloodmoon, but i suggest level 30+ for tribunal as the enemies hit so damn hard.

My main character joined every guild he could find (up to about a dozen at last count), cause i wanted to see what they where all like.

I would suggest do a bit of MW 1st (say get to about level 20 ish) then you can choose which order you do them in. I would then do some trib, some more MW finish trib, finish MW and then start BM, but you can do it whichever way you like.

Regarding guilds I always do all the quests around seyda neen, then go to Balmora join the Mages, theives and fighters guilds and do the quests in and around Balmora (there are a few so you can level up fairly quickly). After that you choice

Well I completed the Mages Guild/Fighters Guild/Morag Tong/Imperial Legion and the main quest and then I started on Tribunal. I was only level 25 or something but I never found the sewers hard <with difficulty set on default>. I which though I kept this save <was an Altmer mage> because Bloodmoon wasn't out at the time. :( :)

When I started morrowind I first began by stealing everything that looked cool.

I was the purest noob.

Really I did the greatest effort getting 12gp.

I walked into a store, saw something cool, positionned myself nearby the door ready to run from the moment i took the thing of the counter...

My second attempt i began with the imperial legion cause i loved the armor :)

/moragtong/thieves/hlaalu/main.

For now I'm already tired of tribunal and now i'm looking for ice mods witch could replace the fun that tribunal was supposed to give me...
