DrunkKagouti
Since the new patch i have been having fps drops in weird places, around sanctuary and far harbor a few places in the commonwealth as well and no it never did that before the patch, my computer can easily handle fallout 4 at ultra settings it ran flawlessly previously. Im not sure if its just the bad bethesda patch or would it have anything to do with my mods? i also dont use any script extender mods either. I only have 49 mods not a crazy number. I can provide a list of my mods if necessary. The second question is it possible to safely move fallout 4 from one drive to another and keep your mods working and how would i go about that if possible? We need to know to make educated guesses. -Yes. but the pathing for steam (if u have steam FO4) and your mod manager all has to get corrected to the new drive and that takes a lot of attention to detail and a bit of kowldege too. if I tried it I'd likely miss something somewhere. Alternativly you can buy an extra copy on GOG and install it to a drive of your choice from the get-go.

In this forum you find guids how to prevent FO4 from upgrading again. Installing the game on a different drive is possible. But I don't see an advantage in changing the installation folder to a second drive except the new one is much faster and/ or you need the space. The only problems I ever had with the standard installation paths were caused by missing permissions. No big deal.
DrunkKagouti
not sure about doing that makes me way too nervous. and yeah i see how to stop it from doing it but its too late for that.
subaverage
I case you are not sure about downgrading you could make a copy of your Fallout 4 game folder as it is now. I had to do a downgrade for Fallout London and used this tool: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/81630 It worked well without any problems. Some users report about problems with Creation Club content. But this can be solved, too. In case nothing works you have your copy and can play it back. fraquar
Are you using a Mod Manager, or are you installing mods by hand. Normally I don't need to ask this question - but with such a small mod list I can't assume you are using a Mod Manager.
DrunkKagouti
I am using vortex.
fraquar
I'm an MO2 guy - I'll defer to the Vortex people in case it has anything to do with the Mod Manager.

Load times are still ridiculous (minutes when changing from internal to external cell, downtown is even worse) even with the nextGen version on my 7Gb/s SSD! The load accelerator mod still has its use, except ... the d3d11.dll it uses conflicts with the d3d11.dll which comes with the ENB... *sigh*
