Smokk
I downloaded a mod a while ago that adds custom habs. I would like to remove a few things, unfortunately, but the "markfordelete" command removes them only for a moment, after returning to the ship everything returns to its place. I also tried using the "disable" command together with "markfordelete" but it always ends with the deleted elements coming back. Using "disable" alone works until the ship is modified. Does anyone know how to remove it permanently? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
aurreth
Unfortunately the answer is "you can't". When Bethesda changed the code so the junk items in a hab are no longer moved to your cargo hold when you swap out habs they also made it so default parts are restored when the hab resets. If you can't pick it up it will eventually respawn, no matter what console commands you used on it. If you want it gone permanently you have to use the CK or xEdit to edit the hab cell, then save those changes as a mod.
Smokk
It's just that I don't really know how to use Creative Kit. I used to modify esm in Skyrim but in Starfield I have trouble finding the hab I want to modify. Generally it's the Vohaul Ship and Habs mod, more specifically Captain Quarter. I'm putting the path to hab here, I don't know how to find it in the creation kit, I closed all the windows and I don't know how to restore them now. RoccatScientist
There is an easy way to restore everthing to default. delete the QtCreationKitSavedSettings.ini in your game folder. Thats your layout, windows arrangement & stuff. If Creation Kit wont open ever, it's also this file that's needs to be deleted. But go to view and select Open New Object Window.
