Atardecer
First, apologies if this issue has been brought up before as I know changes are in the wind with the Nexus. Been having a problem where I can't access the SKyrim nexus homepage UNLESS I remove the cookie for neusmods.com. Once removed I can access it. I can access specific mod pages fine from the links in NMM. This is occurring on different systems. Main system is Firefox, but also happens to a lesser extent with Safari on my laptop. I believe I have my browser settings correct and are set to accept cookies. This started happening a few weeks ago just after the server changes. Is there something I missed? bben46
This is not something we are seeing from other users. But the info that you can remove the cookie and it works is good info. Is it possible you are getting the wrong cookie?
Atardecer
Thanks for the reply. The cookie seems right - nexusmods.com It seems that it might be related to whether or not I'm logged in on the site. On my main computer using Firefox and with NMM installed it always happens, but I'm usually already logged in via NMM so it seems to have an issue with that. When the cookie is removed though all is fine, and I can load the site logged out. I tried again on a third system (Mac Pro, Safari which doesnt have NMM installed) and it loaded the first time. Then I tried logging into my account and it just drew a blank screen (which is usually what happens when trying to access the homepage). Again, removed the cookie and all was fine. But if I then got to a mod page and try to go back to the Skyrim Nexus homepage it just times out again. Not sure why this is just happening to me on multiple systems? EDIT: It's most definitely related to being logged into my account. Thats why it happens most on the main system because I'm usually already logged in via NMM before visiting the page. And if I remove the cookie it doesnt try and log me into my account automatically when going to the home page. So I can only access it when logged out :( Edited January 28, 2014 by Atardecer
maplevolt
Greetings - this has been happening to me as well. Figured I just needed a clean browser install until I read the post above and tried it on other machines. I can't access the main skyrim page (www.nexusmods.com/skyrim) unless I'm logged out. If I'm logged in, the main page just hangs and never loads. Furthermore, I can only log in through a page 'deeper' in the site (usually I select some random page from my history). Once logged in, every other skyrim subpage page loads, as do the main pages for 17 other nexusmods.com/ game sites, just not nexusmods.com/skyrim. I've replicated this on three machines, Windows, OS X, and Chrome, FF, Safari. I do not have NMM installed on any of the machines. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Any ideas? Many thanks! Seilyne
Hello, I have the same issue, NMM can't reach login server and since few days I can't access any Nexus page that I have tryied from bookmarks or history, essentially Skyrim or Shadowrun related pages or main pages. Delete cookies haven't changed anything for me. I've tried with Internet Explorer and FireFox. Keep trying ! :geek: Edited January 28, 2014 by Seilyne
Atardecer
I'm slightly more relieved that I'm not the only one  Yeah the only way for me to access the homepage on a machine with NMM is either: 1) Log in to NMM. Click on a link for any downloaded mod. I will be logged into my account when the page is loaded and can view the mod page. Then click on the homepage link and it loads fine and am still logged in. Go to another mod subpage and its fine. Try to go back to the homepage however and it's just a blank screen. Remove cookie and reload page and it works but am logged out. I can access mod pages logged in continuously as long as I use the search function, but not the home page. 2) Dont open NMM or run in Offline mode. Remove cookie for nexusmods and load homepage. Works fine. Can login online from there but if so cannot return to the homepage. Remain logged out and everything functions and loads as normal, going from mod pages to the homepage and back again. But of course I cant comment or download  Interestingly, on any machine irrespective of NMM, it should be noted that if I go directly to a mod subpage or any other page on the site other than the homepage I can log into my account fine. Cant go back to the homepage from there though without removing the cookie. However, if i try to log in when on the actual homepage it times out and never works. Dark0ne
We can't replicate this issue but it is on the list of things for us to look at. The list is rather long at the moment.
maplevolt
Understood, Dark0ne. Appreciate the update and for letting us know that it's still on your radar.
