MrPebbles1961
I haven't seen any proscriptions against asking for mod testers, but I'll gladly take this down if there are. I've spent the past couple of months working on my first mod. I'm waiting to hear from the creator of the mod I used as a template for permission to post it, so while I'm waiting, I thought I'd ask for someone to try it out. (The mod is old, but the creator has been on the Nexus as recently as last year, so it seemed worth a try. If I don't hear from them, I'll need to restructure one of the rooms so the layout's not the same.) Anyway, you can read the details I've written up for the Nexus page here. If someone expresses interest, I'll send a link to the .7z file. [The description is a little spoiler-y, but I haven't had much luck trying to hide them without making the page look like a letter censored by the CIA. It'll probably take some clever rewriting to make that work.) Edited October 20 by AudioBoyMA

Pellape
I can try it out later really. I do use the Underground Hideout, as it sure is the best house available in F3 and FNV, but if yours is better, I might use it instead or just keep it anyway. I be back later with a review and maybe tips or ideas, if you want some that is. During 2 years of sweat and tears, I made my own house for Oblivion, the most advanced house I have ever seen in that game or in any Bethesda Game really, so I guess it is very unique and I will never do such a mod again. The outdoors crash at the moment though and I have not figured out why, not yet, if you wanna test it. Well you get a spell at startup, that ports you to the inside anyway. One idea is to just recompile all scripts at the outdoor area around the house really, well NM. Edited October 26 by Pellape
Pellape
First of all, geting betatesters is almost impossible and you found 2, that is impressive. I love your document, It is both well written and also just looks extremely nice, very well formatted, with a lot of air at the right places. Very tasteful. First impression. I love the Holotape at the entrance, the immersion of how the text is written is superb but I would like to have a proper quest for the key as I am not patient enough to search every corner in a cave, that I already have visited, for a key and I do use Auto-Loot so I would have got it so far if the Key was in the Goodsprings mine, but obviously it is not. I feel a bit frustrated searching for the key, without a proper quest, so I just loaded both FNVedit and GECK, to find it there. FNVedit to get the ID, Geck to see the key. I also bet that if you do not make a proper quest, you will get a lot of posts in the REL site later, asking about the key, so to avoid that, I strongly suggest a proper quest and if you do not know how to make one, I can do it for you as that will be a piece in a cake for me. Of course it is proper RP and immersion to not provide a key or a pointer towards a goal in game, forcing the player to act as a proper detective, but that is how I want it to be and that's the way I also do it in my mods, as I do not want it in any other way really and I hate being frustrated. Our teachers in 3D school constantly told us that frustration is good for learning stuff, well not for me and I got so frustrated in that education, that i jumped off after 1 year, well Volvo did like this Video I made last spring, but it does not matter. I now hate making 3D, something i used to like. So is frustration good? Still. if you want some special or custom item made, I could give it a try really. I might even like making 3D again, in the future, who knows? I did made some simple items for F4, not long ago, after I had quit 3D school but it is hard to say that I did enjoy it, but I do like the result, no doubt, and that is what counts. Pellape
My judgement The noises inside the Vault got to my nerves and all I wanted was to get out from there as fast as possible. Sorry, as it is a cool sound, but the player should be able to turn it off, and maybe there is a switch available for it? I did not find that out honestly. I miss a display room as that is vital for me. I would like to have a weapons Display for ALL unique weapons as I just started to make a mod for collecting them all. Underground Hideout has such display but not all unique weapons are included, just a handful. Otherwise, it did look cool, but a bit useless for myself and the way I use a home. A portal room is a nice feature and a display room, bigger and better than the one in Underground Hideout for NV as I like that authors same mod for F3 much better in all ways. It feels they got more heart in the right place in making the first one than making the second one for NV, but that is my own opinion. Do have in mind that I did made a very advanced house in oblivion when I make my judgement, but making mods is much much better than making none at all, so keep that in mind as it sure looks extremely nice visually, but I cold not relax down there, i could just turned of the sound when I think about it but i could not think when I was there. The dead bodies in the cave had decayed before I got there, as the game engine do that if there are to many dead bodies lying around so you must make their references persistent and if you do not know how to do it, I will make a simple tutorial for it. I had to use the console to break in to the Vault. When it comes to persistent references just google Fallout NV persistent reference and a tutorial should pop up. I did find the weapon, but that's it. The bodies are gone forever and so is the key to the vault. Maybe Rex ate them? When we make mods, we do it mainly forour selves firstly and what others, like me think is not relevant really. It looks very nice. So keep up the good work. Pellape
I did see a painting at a wall when I think about it. I made a couple of frames 2005 with Blender for Morrowind, that I ported to oblivion 2006 and they should work for FNV and if they do not and you want to use them, I can port them to FNV. I did port some to F4 but as that game keeps crashing for me, mostly when I advanced with the mod SS2, I have not published the frames and I do not want to play F4 without SS2, not right now really. Even if they are 20 years old, I still love them and still use them. The messages in the frames, written in our Scandinavian old runes, are messages to my old modding friends in our old Morrowind/Oblivion modding community. I used to make paintings for them, using their own screenshots so that is what you can do, take some cool screenshots and add them to my frames. A tutorial is provided about how to do it as well and i sure can aid with that part too if you want some but do not want to hazzle with them. I do remember what I wrote at this frame: "Paintings by Canadian Ices Friends". She hosted our forum and acted some like our boss. I still have contact with her at FB. She was the best cloth maker for Morrowind, no doubt. Before DDS came, we made the textures like TIF and they where blur and boring Still best there was during that period. I did make this room in Blender, the wall panels, the roof but the furnitures was made by someone else. Well it is the frames we talk about, paintings. The big empty space is made just for companions in mind, so they do not get stuck anywhere. Other rooms have more stuff than this one. Ahh, I do recall now, each painting here works as a portal to that spot, where i took the screenshots. They are all farms and inns, for my servants and staff as they go there to collect all food we have in the house. Well the garden is huge, but still, I made this before I made the garden. Almost every painting in the whole house is a portal to that very spot and you can do that, if you want to be ported to specific spots, without loosing time as we do loose time when we fast travel. Pellape
By the way, I did mention a display room? I made one for Oblivion, but that game did not support displays as the weapons collision boxes just shot the weapons from the walls. I did solve that later, removing the collisions while they where put up at the wall, well made them solid with a script, but before that, it looked like this: Talk about frustrations as this got me extremely frustrated, but I never gave up. Our moderator, Drake the Dragon at the Oblivion forum solved it for me. Time flies, when you have fun. I did spend 5 hours with this, testing and making my textwalls, sorry for that, but thats the wat I am. Time for me to start GECK and make what i was supposed to make 5 hours ago. Pellape
Another thing I do like in your Vault is the lighting, it is not the way 3D atists set light but the proper way to light a home in a game and it sure reminds me of my own way to set lighting in my Oblivion house, using pink, red, purple, green and blue colors, mixed, as white or grey light only, is really boring. The Underground Hideout lights are to faint, so I use the pip-boy light there, and I have expanded and set the Pip-boy light a bit dim with a mod, to make it look more natural and not too bright. Well done I must add.
JimboUK
I had a look, I like the way you gain access to the vault, you're not just given access and the way you get the key makes sense. I like the layout, it was cramped like it should be but not overly so. I also liked the atmosphere in there especially the use of the coloured lights, however all of that was undone when I turned the lights on, I think they're way too bright and wipe any contrast out of the scene. The only other problem I had was the cacophony of noise, I took my headphones off after about thirty seconds, it's overwhelming. I looked around for errors and couldn't find any.
