Paleblood45
Been at it with this game for quite some time trying to resolve this issue. I have a clean CP2077 file for backup that I use whenever the shadows get like this, they seem to work fine with no mods, or maybe I just haven't given it enough time to break. Always seems like loading the game, changing the settings triggers it, I'm not even sure if it's a mod at this point but something is breaking. Been trying to comb through nearly 100 mods is time consuming, but the game gives me a false sense of comfort as I've installed many mods just for it to break further down the line. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3352062806 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3349050424 Edited October 20 by Paleblood45
Dragon32
I doubt I'll have an answer but I can't see either of your screenshots, maybe they're not set to Public?
Paleblood45
that's because I deleted them. I found the culprit. "Improved vegetation LODs" turning on "extreme mode" in mod settings severely screws up the shadows in the base game. I was having black blotches on NPC's, shadows looked like they weren't calibrated to the character they were on, who knew a vegetation lod mod was responsible. The mod is still useable, just be sure you have "extreme mode" turned to OFF!
Dragon32
Oh, OK. Good to know. Maybe worth mentioning in the comments of that mod?
